Re: Oil cooling a motor with transformer oil/dielectric fluid - the next frontier?

I believe there is a solid reason Yes statorade is his thing. I just meant as to his not investing time into experimenting with other options. Yeah who knows, high overhead means how much experimenting and to what goal when high power is not his thing. Good news is he's got vented motor specs in th...

Ah my bad, I should have clued in. I just call those kind Enduro frames. The average person thinks they are a motorbike riding on a sidewalk, pathway or sports field. Fun Fact - Have you ever heard of a suitcase computer? By "suitcase bike", I don't mean a folding bike that can go into a s...

Re: Oil cooling a motor with transformer oil/dielectric fluid - the next frontier?

I believe there is a solid reason Grin is not selling very high power hub motors, as well as not selling complete ebikes. The video on the tour of the old old store/warehouse while their outside the front door, he explains why. They do sell a lot of different lower power hub motor models to suit leg...

Hi, I'm in Roswell so I ride Big Creek, Blankets Creek, Old Rope Mill, etc. on my 2016 Cove Hustler 27.5 (150mm travel front/rear) equipped with a BBS02 and a 14s4p 14ah shark pack on the downtube. Honestly, I'd still be on a 26er if it wasn't a "dead-end" tire size lol! 27.5 or 29er is i...

Re: Crash racing etc Sherp- Amazing off roader - and Worst driving in the world! Insane drifting!

Thing is they dont go off into the weeds safely. A big rig, trying to avoid a dumb car, would easily flip over on its side, costing $5k-$10k to recover and tow plus damages to truck and trailer. Then the added insurance cost. Even if the truck just takes out a sign or tree, they can not continue on ...

Re: Crash racing etc Sherp- Amazing off roader - and Worst driving in the world! Insane drifting!

In the very rare occurence have I seen an incident in a youtube video collection of accidents where it would have caused death. Most of the accidents happen with vehicles going in the same direction, usually people changing lanes or the dumb idiot crossing over multiple lanes to get an exit, or some...

Re: Crash racing etc Sherp- Amazing off roader - and Worst driving in the world! Insane drifting!

What I dont get is why a driver would try to avoid a vehicle in the wrong, only to cause an accident not involving the vehicle in the wrong. Its a very common occurrence. Its a natural instinct to try and avoid but the vehicle in the wrong gets off scott free unless you have video evidence and can g...

edit: I see you got it off but for future reference: Ah yes, road salt. WD40 isn't bad but you may want some stronger penetrating oil like liquid wrench, pb blaster, break free etc... and let it soak for at least a couple hours. A coating of grease would be good before installation too. I had previ...

I have only seen those MTX 39 and MTX 31 rims for disc-only braking. Going by what you said, you can make any and all disc-only rims into v-brake rims with machined side walls by ever so simply and probably, and more importantly ever so cost effective by simply maching the sidewalls of a disc-only r...

This actually is working out good. I can get good seated action and the bb spline tool doesnt move out of the splined slots one way or other. The clamp can slide off easy on the smooth socket side, if the clamps bumped. Pulling bar in picture towards the camera makes it cw. I may go get some syringe...

Re: Best Phase Wire Connectors & MXUS 3kw stock wires

I pulled the wires with clamping pliers. I used teflon ptfe wire from a guitar parts seller in cali, very slippery insulation and stiff wire with larger strands in the wire. It was a work out to slide the wires through. The hardest part is getting past the 45 degree angle, so sometimes it best to no...
