Re: Bent 3pc Bottom Bracket

Thanks Raylo and Chalo. I found 2 dealers of my bicycle brand, hopefully they will have the parts I need, BB, rear hub or wheel. https://www.surface604bikes.ca/pages/dealer-locator Progress report: I hammered the axle back a tad, and went up a real steep hill today to see how easily the chain would ...

Re: Bent 3pc Bottom Bracket

Do you see any problems with the "?stock bb?" being 90x175mm and that ebay one being 90x142? I bought the bike used, might not be an original bb or original 1x crank, I also learned the previous owner had installed a 160 rear hub (bolt on) on a 180 rear dropout that he shoved a bolt undern...

Re: new eZip motor

Proper soldering tip care is important, though I never really paid attention to that because I just solder wires together and literally scrape the solder off the holder base, but need a clean tip for XT90 connectors. Anyway I was joking about buying the cleaner and waiting, and I just picked random ...

Re: Breaking my esc.

Thin foil vs thin inductor coated wires, the momentum could dislodge or tear the thin foil of capacitor if it doesnt bounce back. But lets start laying down odds, would you rate the capacitor at a higher rate of failure then a IC chip?

Yes but sometimes companies dont want information out there, was it you in the other thread that wanted info on the EV battery fires saying the same line, yeah it would be good to have info, the more info the better. Whats the ancient proverb? Knowledge is power I agree. I think, though, if there wa...

Re: Breaking my esc.

Its a bit different as the EV metal and surroundings act like a cushion lessening the shock of impact and its not like throwing a potted/epoxied resined pcb board against a wall. But the EV is going much faster so it could be equivalent in some regard as one can only throw so hard and my bet is Humm...

Re: Strategies to increase range while on road (you can't use a gas station)

Just one 240V outlet, 2 or 3 is nice to have on different circuit breakers. One for the garage heater for up past the 49'th, and one for the welder and one for a charger. You can claim your future proofing for EV charging. I had to install a 240v outlet in the garage, to stop my Meanwells pop...

Maybe you can modify a Magura throttle to be a half throttle.

Or try this one

What are you like 6' tall, that bike looks small, looks like you'd be hunched over, looks like an awkward riding position and not much weight distribution as its looks top heavy but hey as long as it gets you from A to B who cares.

Did you cover all the components on the pcb board with resin?
I'd say the ICU chip is the most fragile and is the first to fail, major vibrations.

Actually they do come with a reflector or light mount bracket, but for the visibility from the rear. If you want reflectors where people can see you from the side then you need to find them and install them. Like these people done, sure they are different reflectors then the one that damaged the bik...

Re: Front Hub DD motor identification.

Limiting the power would be good. I do generic controllers, throttle only, no pas but I like cruise control because then I dont have to pedal to get power, just rest the forearms on the handlebar for more aerodynamics and get some extra mileage out of the batteries watt-hours.

48v 15ah 30a continuous output battery, a KT 18Fet 45A sine wave and a KT LCD8H. Your controller will ask for 45A but your battery can only put out 30A so your battery should have a BMS and that BMS will be kicking in, working the BMS board in the expensive battery rather then working the cheap gen...

Were they an unknown entity that you decided to purchase from them or just a random pic? Nothing comes up when ICGOGOGOGO is searched on Aliexpress. I was recently ripped off. ICGOGOGOGO put 2 large metal chunks in my order, and then used the weight of the shipment to irrefutably prove he/they had s...
