Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

How many in series? Read the thread 100V 100A crystalyte I run 22s and regen won’t run at much above 82V You can do a board level mod with a resistor and not have to change programming Unless you live on the top of a mountain can I see you being able to overcharge a pack. First time you hit the thro...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

[/quote] I really only want about fifty cells, as I was hoping to get another year or two out of my relatively recently purchased battery, with a bit of cell replacement. There seems to be a few parallel packs that aren't keeping up. I'm not confident the BMS isn't the cause. Cheers, Clinton [/quote...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

it IS exactly 10kph when you switch from 14/100 to 12/100 @CD, I see Merlin answered the reason why for my questions to you. I guy my size would gladly sacrifice a 6MPH in top speed to get faster acceleration and hill climbing improvement. Seems true as the Crystalyte UFO 5565 is MUCH more punchy o...

Re: QS 205 experts needed

18650's for the win IMHO. so choices there are High capacity 3400-3500mAh cells LGMJ1 . / Panasonic GA / samsung 35E Sony VC7- although they are now quoting ~10A continuous discharge i have found this to be a stretch of the truth which is at 6-7A over the course of a discharge cycle the temp goes up...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Well.... Although I cant afford a fox 40..... I recently upgraded from the RST R-ONE to whats now the stock fit DNM-USD-8. i find the bike tramlines more with the USD ie feels tougher to make the bike change direction and i'm struggling to want a line and get it (on the road), I'm trying not to over...

Re: Hub Motor Rust Protection

Doc I have my 5403 apart, obviously its 10 years old and needed a birthday, phase wires fubar so new harness and cleaned up the housings. Should I paint the magnets too? Some very minor marks from corrosion and basic corrosion on the stator (are they 0.35mm lams all the way back then? they look thin...

So 5403 with the 19” rim, only took me 6 months,
Pretty excited actually unlaced the old motor last night, tempted to put holes in it, sand it back repowdercoat or better yet the satin/ gritty finish that’s on the UFO

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thanks Rix, 23 for the pole count looks good for the Crystalyte UFO 5565 and lines up with GPS speed on the iphone. done 55kms and used 25 out of ~32Ah available mix of cruising and belting it. Not sure why anyone would ever want a 5580 or 55100 motor, the 5565 taps out at about 90km/hr on 22S and i...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Try 23 and see if that brings your settings into check. I know the old 54xx motors were 12pole. Roger that thanks Rix, headed over to the parents to collect = ~2hr train ride and 20min walk to the station this end and 5mins the other end for a 30min ride home  on another note, you had torque p...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Anyone know the pole count for the UFO? CA says I tapped out at 231km/hr lol. Max amps up from normally 74-75 to 76.55A While I was in there I beefed up a couple of traces on the earth side and main power + side where there was a gap between the input power DC wire and the wire that’s layed among th...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Yah 1ABV, I figured you would like the M403 Bridgestone off road. It works on dry, wet, mud sand and regular dirt. If you ride a lot of pavement though, the knobs will wear quicker than VRM 021 and Shinko SR241. And there lies the issue, trials tires offer all around good performance, but the knobb...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Game on! Pulled the 5403 apart to change the bearings and all the phase wires insulation was falling off. Getting stealth to re-lace into a 19" moto rim so i can get away from the puncture headache and lashed out on a UFO motor to get me going. Not a cheap exercise but **Pay to play** never been a t...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

This Bomber above now need a V-Boxx service or maybe a new V-Boxx. What's your advice to buy a new V-Boxx? Some time ago I read that Mammuth from Russia may sell it but I contacted them without any reply. Or does Stealth bike sell replacements for V-Boxx? You'd think they could do an exchange to sp...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

My next battery build will be top and bottom the same ie each of the top and bottom rows have 20S then when you fold the top over they cannot make an internal short even after any movement that may cause the insulating material to fail. from there i'd add the other 2S ontop flat like your fighter pa...

Realistically it's not an Apples to Apples comparison though...the LMX 64 and Stealth Bomber/Fighter are totally different beasts. Which is why I might just end up keeping both. :D

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Does anyone know if those bearings really matter that much and should I bother asking Stealth to replace or ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

glad Stealth hooked you up. When I broke mine, Stealth promptly replaced it. Looking at the bottom pic, it looks like one of your cracks is old and has rust on it. Looks like it finally let go over time? Did you notice any cracks before this? I figured out where the squeaking / creaking was coming ...
