Re: NEW Hailong-3 48v 17.5 Ah the big Shark pack

The Hailong-3 uses a different mount and cannot swap with the hailong-1 mount.

The packs have Panasonic GA cells.

Amberwolf- thanks for all your volunteer moderating of this forum! Justin- thank you for pointing out the compatibility of the XLR plug with the Satiator and for the info about the 10K NTC Thermister between pins 2 and 3. My packs are wired the same so this can easily be done before shipping out. If...

NEW Hailong-3 48v 17.5 Ah the big Shark pack

Check out the Shark pack's big brother, the Hailong-3. Now bigger and better than ever, yet still small enough to fit in more bikes than any other 17.5 Ah battery. Now comes with a power switch, a USB 2.0 port, and a more rugged mount than it's little brother the Hailong-1 aka the Shark pack. Check ...

Re: Bafang BBSHD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

The chain ring in the photo on pg 15 from Gmullz is a new ring offered by Bafang. Luna calls it an "aluminum Luna chainring". Unfortunately, it is offset outward 10mm. Hence the free giveaway. Its poo. We ordered some from Bafang and its ok for bikes with long drive chains like tandems etc...or for ...

Bottom Bracket Standards and Bafang mid drive motors

Will the BBSxx fit in my bike? This is a question that many of us need help in answering. The question you should be asking first is "what kind of bottom bracket does my bike have"? You need to know the answer to this in order to understand how the BBS02 or BBSHD will fit in your bike and what size ...

Bafang has just changed BBS02 controllers to have a water proof gasket similar to the HD motors. They will also include the 3 pin wire for gear sensors.

Some days ago I received and mounted a BBS02 36 Volt 500W dated 1505xxx may 2015 . All was good but I am unable to program parameters with the normal procedure. I installed test program in windows xp v3 on vmware workstation. The serial port tested serially goes normally. The startup procedure is c...

Re: Announcement: New Bafang 1000w, 90-110mm BB mid drive co

The price is not a secret, Bafang has not released much information about it yet, and price will be based on what 8fun charges. I don't think it will be much more money, I certainly hope not! I don't plan on charging 300$ extra for this. It's a simple change really, and one they needed to make in or...

But the spindle has not been replaced and he is still riding it, so was it bent or not? Does not seem like it was after all. Maybe there will be some updates to the post if it was changed or not. I do not have any videos of off road riding yet, but i plan to some time in the future. Sorry if the ton...

Re: GIANT Full E+ 2014 mid-drive mtb ebike

Still no proof, apparently you did not read the post you linked to. The crank arm came loose, nothing bent, nothing broken and he was able to ride his bike with no further issues after tightening everything up. Sounds like his biggest issue was chain slip. It is important to measure chain stretch be...

Re: Brake suggestions?

No more adjusting for pad wear. The caliper pistons advance as the pads wear. Just like auto/motorcycle brakes. To initially adjust brakes.... Loosen the caliper bolts so the caliper wiggles, apply and hold the brake so it grabs/aligns with the rotor, while holding the brake lever tighten down the c...

Re: New Bafang Crank-drives

Tektro Dorado HD-E710 brakes are awesome!
They are specifically made for ebikes and have larger
Calipers than standard and a .5mm thicker rotor (2.3mm as opposed to 1.8mm for standard), as well as
More robust pads.

Re: New Bafang Crank-drives

Yes the Tektro brakes use a two wire switch, the bbso1 uses 3 wire hall switch. You can solder small jumper pins to the wires of the Tektro brake and insert them into the GND and Brake signal pins if you wish to preserve the connector. Or cut connector off and solder the two brake wires to the black...
