"On a more positive note, after comparing my video from 2 days ago I would say it is getting quieter as it breaks in. Grinding noise seems to be less." What would concern me if the grinding noise is lessened, were those metal parts creating the grinding noise? Is there now metal dust or sh...

Re: Bafang BBS02 chain ring with improved off-set?
the BBSO2 is limited to how much offset a chainring can have. The 42 lekkie leaves only about 4-5mm before it would hit the motor. The eclipse does not fit the BBSO2. A chainring with slightly more offset would only gain about 1 tooth of improved chainline, but for many BBSO2 owners any improvement ...

Re: GNG X1-pro 3000w
Electron Cycles is working on the X1 with the ASI BAC 800. He seems to be very happy with it at 20S. Look forward to his final assessment in the near future. Lightning Rods has an adapter that can be used with 219 kart gears as primary. Should make experimenting with drive gears cheaper. He also lis...

important measurements for the chain drive. You should have a good idea of fit and make your plans with spacers if needed. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater

Re: DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue
To use this throttle switch, we need to break out the PAS wire inside the motor, and switch that, right? You need to just tap into the black and grey wires on the PAS connector. The switch closes when you open the throttle so we want to ground the grey signal line. Can the black and grey wire be ac...

An integrated battery, even if it is smaller, would be my preference. Can always carry a spare. Nothing stealthy about the bike in its present form.

I agree about the stealth battery. That was one of the primary things that interested me in the bike.

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD
Is there any estimate on when the higo connected cycle analyst will become available? I had already made my phaserunner higo compatible but the CA would be amazing. You changed out the JSTs on the Phaserunner to higo compatible with the BBSHD?. I was going to change the HD to JSTs, but Higo on the ...

So I've been running this setup everyday on my commute and whole heartedly can say it's simply amazing. BBSHD phase runner crank gear choice?
I have been reading about the BBSHD/phase runner combo. Some have gone with a 30T crank and another poster went with a 42T crank with a 42 rear sprocket. That is a huge difference in crank selection. Is that to get a higher top speed? What would be the advantages and/or disadvantages of each? Thanks...

Guys seriously, let the Hugo's go and move on. Amazon has an 11 dollar kit with every JST connector you'll ever need for the rest of your life. Just get the crimper and watch a YouTube video how to use them. Soooo much nicer when you can make the wires the length you need anyway. Besides, you'll wa...

Frey, how many amps is the m600W 500W motor. Also please make it 52v compatable. Many of us already have 52v batteries.

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD
The CA3 with Higos is on his website. The CA3-HIGO is more or less the standard CA3-DP/DPS upgrade. It is NOT suitable for use with BBSx controllers. With an adapter (HIGO to JST) you can use a CA3-HIGO with the Phaserunner. A full CA3/Phaserunner set (including plug and play harness) will be avail...

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD
I did run at 52v for quite a while. The advantage of higher voltage is the ability to stay in 1 gear from a stop up to top speed and lower current draw while at cruising. Acceleration is greatly improved. I made some pretty important advancements today. By setting cycle analyst ramps as follows, I ...

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD
Per the previous post, 4 pole pairs also works. The Phase runner just compensates with a lower calculated kv. Both 8 and 4 worked for me. Factoring in the gear ratio made the auto tune fail every time even if I played with other settings. Thanks for updating. It is very much appreciated. Did you ru...

Frey you are killing me. Please make m600 500W in a hardtail first. 27.5. No odd wheels and tire sizes. That is a full suspension trail bike thing. Make sure the bike will fit a 3.0 tire. If you could make the hardtail just like the bafang bike and give us the same battery. If you cannot do the batt...
