Re: BBSHD Voltage Problem Firmware Update & Instructions
I flashed this firmware posted by Tomblarom: CRR10E4830E105027.1_(latest)_190927.bin Can confirm it works with 52V battery, has a current limit of 30A, and corrected the issue of PAS overriding throttle. Thank you Tomblarom for sharing this firmware! Can I please ask if you tested at the full 58v+?...

You will have the cut / grind off the tab at the four o clock position for the motor to slide over.
I cut it with dremmel and filed it flat, it’s likely aluminium so a two min job

No issues ordering direct and shipping to UK, although very much the usual China quirks.
I have two side by side without issue, the iOS app lets you select by name (and you can rename, although it’s not great for me)

Re: Hailong G56 Case / BMS fittment
I did but m sadly had to swap to a cheaper less functional BMS that was smaller :( I actually bought three until I got one in there! In the end, devoid of any useful information from the seller/internet on this case, I decided that they must have intended for the BMS to be on the side. It’s still a ...

BBS02 Full Throttle Stutter/Pulse/Cut outs
I’ve swapped the controller on my dads 36v BBS02 to a 48v one. It fired up ok and I programmed it with usual settings and left it at 25a. However the motor stutters or ‘misfires’ at full throttle. It does draw peak 1,300w but pulses violently; the display wattage bounces up and down sometimes showin...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
What's going on here? Cell group 1 is jumping up and down and it's going in and out of high and low voltage protection mode. I ripped the battery open to check the actual voltage of cell group 1, and it's at 4.1V thankfully. This is a little scary. Can't say i have se...

Hailong G56 Case / BMS fittment
Picked up a couple of the Hailong cases 'G56'. 56 cells with holder and a 52v battery indicator Here I was excited to build in this case because it looks like they had fixed most of the quirks and I thought it would be fast and easy. It has a better mounting plate and the holder allows you to make a...

Re: How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod
Brad777: I replaced both 5 m0hm with 3 m0hm recently here What you bought look fine. I used these from RS. In terms of removing the existing shuts I wouldn't say it was particularly hard. I didn't need a lot of heat imo. Remove as much solder as you can using wick/braid Re-wet the joints with as low...

Re: Bafang BBSHD 52v 1000w 28a Controller?
I have one of these and I assume its to keep the output the same when on 52v? I cannot set over 28a in software but I planned to mod it anyway.
I replaced the stock shunts (5 mOhm) with 3 mOhm and it provides 45a+ as expected (verified via BMS)

Re: DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue
Thanks fechter and all :) I've applied transistor the fix to my brand new BBS HD and the throttle is working really well (as good as a pre 2016 BBS02 I have built) I didn't do anything special and I would say to others reading, the potting is nothing like as bad as i thought.....just get in there. P...

Re: High power ebike means none of the rules apply to me
This is the UK and realistically, this is so far past being an ‘ebike’ I’m not sure I see the issue in terms of knock on regulation. He is on the road with the big boys, not belting around a trail with soft bodies on a souped up BBS HD which is where the clamp down will come. Here this would immedia...
