Swx02 or BPM

Looking at 2 legal bikes over here in the UK
One has a swx02 motor and the much prettier bike and the other has the BPM hub
Both rated 250w and with a 17ah battery

The BPM is a front hub and the swx02 is a rear in these particular bikes.

Any opinions

Looking at a bike Which currently uses this system at a good price, £600 cheaper than Bosch and Shimano

Re: Battery series wiring

I'm awaiting on BMS currently but I have tested the whole bike carefully. I bought some 12awg cable, spliced a few inches off and soldered it all over the length of the initial positive terminals and the same for the negative. Connected with some xt60s. Bike has great power many thanks. Just awaitin...

Re: Dropout not flush

C washers fit perfect also now

Sparking when connecting battery

Finally getting there with my DIY build. Learnt so much. So today was a good day , testing homemade 14s10p on controller ,throttle and hub, it works great, calipers are scoring the hub but I'm need to do some more filing tonight. But the thing which is worrying me , is when plugging the xt90 from co...

Re: Clearance front motor hub and caliper

This is what is being proposed: brakeMod.png You could also get a post-to-IS adapter, swap the caliper, and then add a couple of 6mm washers as spacers to move the caliper outward. Sort of a hack on a hack.... Thank you for the photo, makes things easier to digest. The photo is actually really poor,...

Re: Clearance front motor hub and caliper

First major hurdle, I'm running a DIY setup, I've bought an 1000w standard front hub, I wanted to keep my hydraulic brakes but at the minute struggling for clearance, The wheel turns but won't spin freely, Could I sand any part of this down, I don't think caliper adapters are going to cut it has fu...

Re: Clearance front motor hub and caliper

Already bought the hub,so rear is a no go , I also had a rear hub bike before but it struggled on hills as all the weight was at the back. How about buying a adapter to increase the disc to 203mm is it called a pm adapter, Bike was a steal at £40 , and is in generally good condition, Frame is small ...

I have plenty of 12v 30a switching PSU about the house and these can be bought for £20 with a digital display allowing you to play with voltage and amps. Re: Battery series wiring

Yes the batteries have been sitting for a few months since I started doing this before Xmas and all stayed around 4.1v. Re: Battery series wiring

Re: Help designing 48v pack

I've thought about splitting the battery down, any disadvantages to this.
24v each, can the hobby chargers charge then, instead of forking out for an expensive 48v charger
I already have a few bmax knocking around
