Re: New type of PAS. Is it faulty?

I haven't given it a proper try yet but thanks for the advise. I ordered the ones recommended by E-HP. I wouldn't call it "recommend", since I have no idea what your setup is, but just to be complete, the grin sensor is customized for use with the cycle analyst, and runs on 10V. The KT un...

Re: New type of PAS. Is it faulty?

I have ordered the KT-V12L and CD-V12L. Hopefully they are better than the one that I have at the moment. As far as I know KT usually supply higher quality parts so hopefully I don't get another broken one.

Does it not work?
I wondered if I needed the magnets. What a crap design :(

New type of PAS. Is it faulty?

I recently bought a newer style of PAS but it does not turn. Is it supposed to be like this? The older style sensors used to be made from a sensor and a separate magnet disc. :?

John wouldn't you be better off buying one from Aliexpress? Any potential duty or shipping would make it cheaper to buy from China.

Re: How to get the most power out of a QS205 50H?

Wingdings are a very touchy topic. In my experience, it really depends on how you ride. People want to have the ability to launch hard from a stop, but most of the time nobody is doing this consistently (unless you're racing or riding extremely technical trails). The majority of people are more imp...

Re: How to get the most power out of a QS205 50H?

The battery compartment on my frame is best suited for 22S14P and the Nucular is only warranted to 90V so I went with the 3.5T. If I was able to use 24S at 4.2V I would have chosen a 4T but at 90V 300bA 500pA you can max out the 3.5T and have lots of mid range power especially once you factor in fi...

Re: How to get the most power out of a QS205 50H?

I am wondering how to get the most power out of this setup: QS205 50H (kV not decided) Nucular 24F at 300bA/500pA 25" total wheel size 10-50mph I know the basic theory is to condense the motors available power into a useful rpm range but as we all know this is not as easy as it sounds when the...

I think I just need something that won't break. I never really thought it would be a problem... Illusions. I too, wanted something that won’t break, but my first priorities are performance and safety. So I worked on building power and speed until I got the performance that I wanted. Then I worked o...

I think I just need something that won't break. I never really thought it would be a problem until I heard of rims not being strong enough. Anyway I appreciate your opinion, now I just need to sort out a rear shock, front fork, rims, spokes and tyres.

Re: QS205 rim and RCP2S 265mm 750lb

Excel trial rims are the very best, but not for the kind of money that people usually spend to lace a hub motor. Do QS have any options for other rims as it would be much easier to buy the motor from them and also get them to lace it up into a wheel. What rims do you personally recommend? Very few ...

New R4850G2 3000W Rectifiers - SOLD

I have 2 brand new R4850G2 3000w rectifiers for sale. These are hard to find brand new as most are either second hand with missing or broken parts or used but in good condition. The G2 version is both 96%+ efficient and less than 2KG. These make extremely compact and powerful power supplies or charg...

QS205 rim and RCP2S 265mm 750lb

Does anyone know of a strong 18x1.85 or 18x2.15 that is not too expensive and is available from the UK? I have seen lots of posts regarding bent rims and I don't really want to have to replace it if I don't need to. Also would a RCPS2 265mm with a 750lb spring be better than a 240mm with a 550lb spr...

Re: "Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

I haven't really investigated materials with good thermal properties that were not conductive. It's a worthwhile study, but the frequent suggestion is using high-amp cells so they ruin cool at normal loads, and also having a pack big enough to easily supply the normal amp work-loads. I don't think ...

Re: "Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

The 0.15 copper sheet is what I am most interested in. It can handle the highest currents coming from 21700 cells. Even if 0.10mm copper works for the common 18650 cells, if there is a way to get the 0.15 copper to work on cylindrical cells, why not not use 0.15 on everything? It makes a great heat...
