THIS is a cell that came out of a Chevrolet car. See the difference? Part number. Julian date. Ultrasonic welds on ( Chevrolet's patented ultrasonic welding head, there is info online about it) ( even though it lookl like any other ultrasonic WAFFLE PATTERN, I have seen patent documents online about...

I reckon I have a pretty good idea...seeing as I've built a powerwall using these exact LG cells salvaged from an as new Bolt, imported over to Australia. Cheers Did you take these cell out of a car, or did someone else just tell you they were " Salvaged from a Bolt"? 'Cause I have seen m...

The best working method was the cnc cutting with - 1mm one flute datron bit - 600mm/min cutting speed at 24000rpm - vacuum fixture - isopropyl alcohol dust for lubricating and cooling the part. If you need clean cutted copper parts for your high amp battery builds, do not hesitate to ask. For manuf...

I bend, cut, and CNC mill poly-carbonate plastics for very strong impact resistant structures. They are long lasting and weatherproof and easily bolted, tapped, drilled, and otherwise machined. Instant glues and fast assy the most timeis int eh design and cutting. I buy the plastic for 1$/lb... a 4x...

Limit the entire system to 3-4A. 3A on (72vnominal) is 216w. 216w out of a 1, or 2, kWh battery.. is .. alotta.. somethingsomethingsomething. Makes ya pedal alot. I do that and its like 20+ hours. @ 3-4mph with pedaling. Lol. A machine limits the current much better than Mr.ThrottleHappy can (me). (...

I have a 4T in a 17" and it is a rip-you off bike almost and very responsive, so much so I consider the 3T.. for the RPM. You do NOT go max throttle anywhere under 40mph.. and even then it will bring the front up @ 25-35 if you really want it to.. until it hits the kV limit and the current drop...

I built such a bicycle(s) with such specifications. It is not very tough if you know how to do it. YOu can buy used and get in about 1500-2000$ USD or buy NEW and spend 5000$+, let me warn you. For a single speed, all the many rations of the multi speed are gone.. so choose wisely. This bike could N...

Re: 18650 vs prismatic - which is safer?

Are the 18650 cell packs safer than prismatic? Last night, my scooter caught on fire while it was being charged. Fire burned...all that was left was the steel in the frame and the hubs. I had a new battery that was prismatic instead of 18650 :( Chemistry make the difference... Not form factor. A 18...

Do you know the value of the shunt in question ( written on side) (A/V) scale.. and tell us what it is? Is it a normal number? How big is the shunt? Do you have it set on loow power or high powe mode? I ahve one in a system that is custome values and it works great. Accurate down to 1/100 of the max...

I got stuck about 4 miles from home two days ago.

It was the throttle line. Going high. When I tuned the bars. Sat there fiddling for a hour.

Got home and replaced the connector and its been fine since. Twoish years old on that connector, replaced with high quality.

What else could it be?

That s not quite how that works... V=IR.. relativity, I have not much idea as to what you know about how a BLDC motor is driven. Using the Pulse width modulation and the code to cycle it. You must use every unit and step of the equation to assume the function of the simulation.... YOu confuse the ou...

MAny many OEM use passive and active air: no need for water complexity unless you have warming goals too, IMO... NOt enough entropy in the system we like ( sized). 1: depends on the cell and the load.. Bad cells or undersized packs do get hot, warm and do hate it... HOTLIPO.jpg 2: You dont really ne...

I just pulled 23.8 horsepower out of some Chevy 25Ah cells. They did not blink. The motor was blazin and the controller was a lil hot. 17,800w plus. 90 lb bike give or take. The pack was built with a fan in mind. 12v, 120mm, PWM outputs on a Nuclear in mind. I do not think I need it. The pack did no...

I mean, you are getting this complicated, this goes on forever: Since the dawn of brushless RC,.... How this (winding) or that ( wound, winding) moto...

Inertia can be a problem too, something that feels like a lightweight rotor can have more rotational inertia at 100k rpm than a truck flywheel spinning at 2k rpm and feel sluggish where a slower motor feels responsive. It can also cause big problems with loads too, slam on the brakes on a drivetrai...

In any case, 50kW in a ~5kg RC car is going to accelerate it to 300mph in about 5 seconds, except that 99% of that power would go to vaporising the tires... So utterly useless and not verifiable. This is the REAL limit to ones power that they can put down... The TIRES on the RIG. Overcome the tire ...

It's helpful to illustrate with a simplified mathematical model. Let's calculate if torque is only determined by Kt (neither resistance/temperature- nor flux-limited): torque * rpm = power This is not correct maths. Units. Man. Units. If you want to extrapolate Hp from Tq and RPM, I can do that for...
