by electric_nz » Mar 17 2021 11:09pm How do you specify a winding? For example their website states that for a 26” wheel the default max speed is 37.5mph with other speeds: 42mph or 30mph, 25mph, 20mph, 15mph. Which one of those is 6T with maximum copper fill? Thanks Let's start with maximum copper...

Re: Aluminium Air cells for EVs..explained.
Aluminium Air has been interesting and would like to play with it. Recharging lol need to remake the Aluminium. Now if they make the Aluminium just for the purpose of batteries (a lot of surface area) that would be a plus. I stopped when you need to collect the by product (aluminum hydroxide) and re...

Re: lithium aa
Had been looking for the specs on them. Not on line or above my search skills. What I know at this point is a few mentioned the chemistry but not in a spec sheet. They are using a bms under the pos cap, the nonchargeable ("primary") drain the battery below 3v before shutting off so at this...

Re: lithium aa
Know this is an old. It has come to pass. My question is, can the Boxstore lithium AA be recharged. Soon will start buying the rechargeable lithium AA and charger. I have some lithium AA's in a camera but fear the bms will not allow it to charge.
Just looking for thoughts on the matter.

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor
Going out on a limb here. All are FOC that I have looked at . Phaserunner is from the ASI 800, that should cover a lot if not most E-bikes. Only reason for me wanting ASI 2000 is not running to the limits of the controller. At the moment with my single batter limited to 36 amps (not peak) as not to ...

by john61ct » Jan 16 2021 1:22am I've read phase current max is 90A? Lately the ASI 2000 has been looking good ...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor
Did some thinking on my setup. On the gear/cassette side have one washer between the jam nut and drop out/frame. Then added a shim to move the cassette away from the frame so chain would not rub, the shim's diameter had to be reduced enought so the chain would not ride on it. Did this by hand trial ...

Think of peddling a bike, you don't push the peddle down and hold it there. Timing is used, you push close to dead center then let off and around we go.

Re: What is the point of a 3T, 4T, 5T winding if torque per amp is the same?
An acceleration spread sheet was posted in the last week in another thread, downloaded it, played with my trikes settings. Plugged in different windings and wheel sizes. Was quite surprised in the findings. Lower turn count and smaller wheel does not always equal more acceleration, top speed yes. Go...
