Re: Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

No problem. The only thing I should add that I did not say, was, this shock has 10mm eyes, so you have to drill out the 8mm holes on the swing arm and frame box. (I suppose you could also sleeve the shock eyes, but I went with drilling and it fits perfect), eye width is 24mm so no problem there. I ...

Re: Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

Have you thought about renting a quarq shockwiz and trying that to get a good setup? I’ve been chasing settings on mine for a while and about to rent one. I’m getting there now I’ve put a lot of damping in the rear, but still messing around months later.... . Wow, see that goes to show my lack of k...

Re: Trying to be safe with a 5000w Enduro frame DIY build

I've had my first and only ebike (1200w DD rear hub w/ 48v20ah bat, 30a controller) for a year now. It's on a rigid Schwinn 80's mtb frame, 26x2.00 slick tires, it gets up to 30mph on flats, 10mph up my steepest hills. I do food delivery and am surrounded by moderately steep hills and really want a...

Re: Trying to be safe with a 5000w Enduro frame DIY build

I personally believe it’s time to go to motorcycle rims/tires when you go with a heavy hub. Switching over is life changing as far as bicycles goes. They last for ever, soften the blow of 25 to 40 lb hub motors and traction for days, and days. They really inspire confidence and flats get removed fr...

Re: Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

:pancake: I had similar issues getting a good rear set up due to QS273, weight of bike and weight of me. My rear shock length 190mm. I started with a DNM RCP3 shock and modified a 1000lb spring to fit. But, this, although comfortable, bottomed out easy. Then I had the idea of trying 2 RCP air shocks...

Re: Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

IMG_20201122_150704a.jpg DNM pit bike shock 285mm - much better job. Jonno Hey jonno, long time no talk. Yeah definitely looks like a good idea with the pit bike shock option. For me the trick will be finding one that fits my 200mm eye to eye. I didn’t realize that frame you have uses a different e...

Re: Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

Don't want to bust any bubble, I changed from dnm dv-22ar rear oil dampened spring shock (lower end than rcp2, $40 on ebay) to a cane creek spring shock 2020 model ($500 on ebay). The difference is very hard / impossible to tell. A metal spring is a metal spring. Oil dampers have different levels o...

Best rear shock for heavy ebike.

Hey, I was wondering if someone could help me with some advice. I have a heavy steel exoskeleton (not the lighter one with the plastic panels) stealth clone ebike/motorcycle that weighs about 165 lbs or so. I originally had some zoom forks which were horrible... I mean HORRIBLE. I first upgraded the...

Re: Stealth Bomber & Frame w/Tons of parts

Would you be interested in selling the fox 40 fork? If you are worried about selling your bike without a fork on it, I can do a part trade /part cash for them. I have an almost brand new set of usd-8’s (straight steerer/ 31.8mm) dual crown forks. If so, what year are the forks, have they been servic...

Re: For Sale: NYX/MXUS/Adaptto eBike, ready to ride! Michigan, USA

Hi , did you ever sell this bike? If not, I might be interested in the forks and the schlumpf drive .... I could even do a partial trade for both of the parts so that you still have a full working bike to sell. I have an almost brand new set of dnm usd8 front forks, a shimano bottom bracket With a b...

Re: QS205 rim and RCP2S 265mm 750lb

Hi, did you ever find your solution? I’m searching hard to find a good set of 19” moto rims and the appropriate spokes to lace my qs205 motor. I don’t necessarily want the cheap Chinese ones. I’d refer something like the excel takasago rims but for the life of me I can’t find what the specs for the ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I found this regarding Phase amps... Does this seem correct? The term battery current can refer to several different things: Actual battery current - the current you will see in an ampermeter connected to the battery at a given moment when riding. Rated peak battery current - the maximal current th...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hello, I am looking to buy a moto seat from the H-52. Anyone know of any used/second hand new for sale?

I don’t want to use one of the Chinese clone seats. I use the bicycle seat now. Thanks.
