Re: MAC motor slips but apparently in good condition

had a similar issue on an eZee motor, very similar construction... the outer ring gear broke loose from the housing... easy fix if that's the problem :

Re: Best Charger for me please

Personal fav... Icharger 3010B I have had a whole slew of them, turnigy labeled, hyperion, thunder power... thunder(ripoff) .. etc..... After spending a mint, trying shit... ended up with two 3010b's and i love them. For anything other than RC use and cell testing/pack assembly... a cycle satiator i...

Re: Vinyl Cutting and heat transfer presses... Anyone ?

Hydrographics are cool but not the direction i'm going.. So, a 24" cutter with a stand ( that supports the media roll to keep things going in a straight line ) .. driven with a servo motor ( vs Stepper ) and software that won't go obsolete and without support in 2 weeks, seems to be what i need...

Re: Multiple batteries?

some BMS can handle it, while others can not, without telling is EXACTLY what battery model, brand, etc you have, this question will remain unanswered.

Specifics matter.

search " BMS in parallel "

quick random example

Vinyl Cutting and heat transfer presses... Anyone ?

Ok, so i have recently taken interest in this stuff, i often want a dozen decals of something specific ( or desire it.. but never get them made, as it's generally too expensive to order low quantities.. and i don't always want 1000 pcs of some " thought of the day " shit.. ) Been browsing ...

Re: What is the thinnest cutoff wheel available?

how long of a cut on what type of material ?

Zip disks on angle grinders do quick work of most jobs...

If the material is thin enough, metal shears..

Band saw if the part will fit in it.

Hack saw..

Re: Round peg.. square hole.

Yeah.... this pack has something like 8 shallow cycles on it in since June 2014.. the cells that remained over 3v should have lots of life left in them, can't let it go without at least trying..

It's going to be a tight fit but i'm determined to get it back in it's box. ...

Mamma said there would be days..... urgh.. So local customer left an eZee 48v 10ah pack drain down by accident ( unsure of how it happened, but 10 of the 13 groups were at 3.2v and the other three groups were at 0v... tried to jolt the 0v groups back to life but they just get hot and drop voltage as...

same results here with the zippies... early death regardless of cycle count and low DOD use..

Meanwhile the turnigy one's are holding up, got some that ran hard for 2 years, got pricked and de-puffed and are still going strong 2 years after.. one's on the trike are from 2009 !

Re: Master a perfect inline wire splice

for most 12g or smaller things i just pre-solder 1/4" worth of wire end, line them up side by side and re-melt the solder for a second.. you end up with a much tidier splice and less of a stiff section. has never let me down. ( specially when soldering up hub motor cable with 3 thick and 5 thin...

with the controller outside the motor, heat is greatly spread out and overheating won't happen under 1000w .. ( guesstimating watts.. but confident in my guess )
