Re: Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Does this work also with mid-drive motors like the Bafang BBSHD? I'd like to buy the S12S for a 48V battery pack.

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

This controller doesn't allow you to have 2-3 profiles like any bike controller out there? I couldn't find any options in the software.

Re: The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts

Does this universal charger work with Bosch, Shimano, etc. batteries? Since I know they use some kind of CAN protocol that doesn't allow other charger to work with their batteries. I found a German company who managed to make a really universal charger that could work with any maker battery but forg...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Is this something already possible with current PR software? Do you think Justin would be available to add such feature? Nope. Nope. The gear change feature is provided by the CA3 via a configurable fixed length minimum time ebrakes are applied. You can trigger it either by tapping the brake...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Hello, I'm looking for a controller that can let me handle the cutoff (the time for how long the motor temporary turns off) when I switch gears. What I'd like achieve is that the more power I'm squeezing out of the motor (the faster I'm going), the faster the gears get switched. My current motor (Ba...

Is there any update on this project? I think what you guys are trying to achieve is the wet dream of many people out there.

Re: What are the differences between CAv3 and ERT controllers?

From what you say telektik, then it would be useless having something as a "smart" controller like PR, since the CAv3 pilots it transforming it into a dummy puppet. What I'd like to understand is: which is the hardest part? Configuring the controller or the CAv3? From what you said also, t...

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD

Hey guys. Sorry to not post recently. Bike is continuing to evolve. The original Bafang controller was removed from the aluminum housing and reinstalled on the motor as an cover. I’ve added another bank of battery packs to the down tube to double my capacity. Basically 3 seven cell Lipo packs in se...

Re: What are the differences between CAv3 and ERT controllers?

Thank you Voltron for the photo depicting the controller. But mostly, huge thank you to amberwolf for your very detailed explanation, I got a clearer view now. Just a few other questions: I saw CAv2 used to connect to the controller being just a "display" instrument, while the CAv3 directl...

Re: What are the differences between CAv3 and ERT controllers?

Cycle Analyst integration usually means there a plug hanging out of the controller to plug the CA into, but the CA isn't included. The second controller is a bigger more powerful one, that goes to 72v instead of just 60v. Ok, still the more compact one costs double the bigger one. What I can't unde...

What are the differences between CAv3 and ERT controllers?

As the title says, I can't understand the differences between the bare CAv3 (which I believe is a display that shows all parameters read from the motor) and this ERT controller: https://electricrt.myshopify.com/products/ultimate-bbshd-upgrade-grin-phase-runner-foc-sinewave-controller-plug-and-play I...

Re: How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod

From what I read on other threads, you cannot go over the standard 25A on the BBS02 since the circuit was not designed with enough room to withstand the extra power like the BBSHD.

Re: How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod

Has anybody tryed to use liquid metal pastes in place of the stock thermal grease on the MOSFETs plate? I think it should lower the temperature.

Re: How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod

Hello, how do I know if my BBSHD controller has the 3077 MOSFETS? Also, in another article regarding replacing MOSFETS for old BBS02 (https://electricbike-blog.com/bbs02-controller-mods/) it was suggested to replace with these other types: https://www.digikey.com/products/en?x=12&y=14&lang=e...

6V LED Bulb for BAFANG mid-drive

Hello, I got a bike mounting BAFANG BBSHD mid-drive, I would like to add a LED bulb in front of it for using the bike at night, but there are only 2 cables coming out from the controller (+6V and GND), so I would need to find a LED bulb that only requires 6V to operate, has the lowest possible Watt ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike from China

Somebody who owns the bike could kindly tell me what's the brand of the wheels manufacturer? All the photos and videos online don't zoom close enough to be able to read it. I noticed there are two versions of this bike also, is the only difference in the wheels?
