Re: BBSHD 3KW controller opinions (Aust)
I actually got a question for you Beauie: how exactly are you gonna allow people to customize the parameters of the controller? Have you already designed a firmware and a software that accesses the controller from the PC and lets you change the values? Because after all, this is one of the main obje...

I would be interested in it, but I'm from Europe. Still I hope you can ship me one at the extra cost.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
For the controller, it probably doesn't cost them any extra money for the Sine Wave controller, if it did we are talking about like $10 dollar price difference if that. While the price of the electronic components which make the controllers shouldn't be too much different, they of course have to ch...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I don't understand why some of you like complicating their lives so much. From what I know, SUR-RON stopped producing the old model, and you can see it already by simply checking their official stores: the normal version got removed and there is now just the Model X, also in the new colors. For only...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
The Light Bee is now available in 7 colors

Also Sur-Ron made a partnership with Insta360 (a GoPro-like Chinese company) and they offer the Model X together with Insta360 camera and chest mount.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Does anybody know what component is the limiting factor on the Light Bee EU homologated version? I'd like to know if you have to swap out the battery, the controller or both to get it to work like the normal offroad version.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
This is one of the most delicate points in my opinion, not being able to get spare parts easily or upgrade to the new stuff that SUR-RON keeps pushing out (x controller, golden chain with o-ring, new seat, etc.) is something that could discourage people from buying this bike. Why? You fancy o-ring ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
So I just got kicked off Luna's Sur Ron Owners group (on Facebook) - simply for engaging in conversation. Apparently they only allow members that do nothing but kiss up to them. What a joke, and a hell of a way to treat customers. Their loss - I was only trying to help others in their so-called com...

Bafang Max Drive dead controller
Hello, one of my friends has a bike with this motor. He said that the motor lately started to go on-and-off till it eventually stopped working, and after testing the controller, I could actaully confirm it was dead. Now the real problem, where can you buy a replacement controller? The specific model...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I don't think Luna is selling the X controller, at least I haven't seen it on their site. Also, as long as I know, you could order only limited quantity of those just for your own testing. I remember reading somewhere in the thread the EU homologated version should come with the sin-wave controller ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Can anyone comment how well and how difficult it is to wheelie this bike? Wheelies are very easy once you cut the brake sensor, so you have nothing to worry about that. Once you decide to cut the wire though you should worry more about your safety since riding becomes more dangerous if you aren't e...

Re: Bosch powered emtb custom frame
My impression was that they have an exclusive deal with HaiBike. What gave you that impression? Their site clearly states the motor was designed for multiple application areas, which already excludes the mere mountain bikes of HaiBike: https://www.tq-e-mobility.com/en/Application-Areas/ Unless you ...

I'd like to know if there are any differences between the original gearsensor produced by the Czech Republic company and the fake ones produced by Chinese companies like BTN ebike and Passion Ebike.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Is this your bike? If so, where did you buy it with a VIN? Where are you located? Could be good news for us waiting for a street legal version! All Light Bee V2 come with a VIN, but that doesn't mean it's legal since it can still reach 73km/h and it's not registered in EU under A1 category. For usi...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I am doing suspension stuff on my bike with 11" travel front and 10" rear. At some point I will have the hot controller thing going and have something epic. What have people been using to replace the rear FA suspension? I've taken mine out and measured and is 10.5 in length. What is the c...
