hello all :) i`m new to this forum.
Just need some info about the breake adapter for the dnm fork USD 8s
I`m going to buy forks soon and been told that those would come without the break adapter. I want to use 2 break discs so will need 2.
Can i use just any adapter or it has to be one from DNM?
If someone has a link to something in UK it would be great
many thanks

I'm using USD-8S myself. AFAIK, adapter is unique for this fork, but very simple. If you can't find distributor for DNM in UK or buy adapter from eBay/Aliexpress, you can always find local metal workshop, give em your adapter and ask to make a copy from steel.

But that's a simple part :) The main question is - where you can find wheel hub for 20x110 axle with two disk brake flanges?

There You go. Very decent lad. Bought a motor of him and the hub. Thanks

I also couldn’t find it anywhere until i asked him. He has been antycipating in many threads on this forum. I told him you can’t find those to buy and he then placed the listing on ebay

Thank you! Awesome! I had to google literally by hours with no luck - and now it's here, clear and simple answer. Will buy this hub soon.

As for adapters - i just asked one of our local resellers of DNM in Moscow, they confirmed possibility to bring here some spare adapters with next shipment of forks. I immediately asked for two spare adapters - one for second brake and one for "just in case" :)

no problem. i am very new to ebikes and i am very happy i could help :):).
Basically i bought the parts list from ebey guy Ladislav Jecminek. He has built few ebikes and i really like his project
I am buying all bits now to put my first ebike together. It is obviously easier with support as i don`t have the resources for trying different stuff and experimenting

Also got in to problem of how to i find the twin breaks with left and right caliper and i found.

https://vectorebike.com/bike/brakes/tektro-auriga-e-twin

it is based in germany. They also have double disc hubs which looks identical but it could be a bit more with postage but not much.
I honestly recommend that guy from ebay as he has been extremely helpful with all my queries.

If You`ll have any spare adapter for forks and would like to sell then please let me know mate
That would be very helpful
many thanks

also. the profile picture. Is this your machine? it looks very cool
What wheel size is it?
thanks

OK, i'll let you know. But i urge you not to wait for me and find local reseller of DNM forks and ask them. Nearest shipment to my reseller expected around new year holidays - almost two months from now.

Yep, it's mine. 3.00-18 Mitas H-03 front tire, 3.50-18 Mitas E-03 rear tire. If you like to see more pics, you can check my instagram (link in my profile) or wait for some photos of my current bike to appear in this thread.

That is really cool. I will check for sure. I have received the forks yesterday and it turned out i have 2 adapters in the box so i am happy :)) just gathering now all bits for my winter project and hopefully it will be ready for the spring.
Many thanks for response

If i may ask, did you find a way to mount a "standard" left-side brake caliper on the right side of the fork? That's a tricky situation in this case :)

hello.
i have tektro auriga e twin front brakes so those fit as they should.
i don`t think You`d be able to fit the standard caliper on the other side.
even if You could. You`d still have a problem with the master cylinder as the standard one
will not have enough of pumping capacity to power 2 calipers. You`d need a bigger master cylinder too.
i have recently succesfully connected the tektro master cylinder with shimano 4 piston caliper and it works great but it
is for rear and it is one caliper. Let me know if You want to know any more about twin front.
it is a narrow hub and the spokes are very close to the calipers when fitted
thanks

below is a cheaper alternative for twin front. didn`t test them but those seems to be ok

Oh, thanks! That's will do.

Let me know if You want to know any more about twin front.

My main concern is about durability all those cheap mineral oil disk brakes. If you know something about more robust twin front disk brakes with DOT brake liquid - please let me know. May be from Hope or Magura or some another high tier manufacturer.

i use those

https://vectorebike.com/bike/brakes/tektro-auriga-e-twin

those are mid class twin brakes just for the front. Hope twin very expensive too much for me

Anyway. I am 3 months in to my build and i can`t see the end.

there are a lot of delays with deliveries etc so still work in progress

I ordered this front wheel for my build and it has disc brake mounts on both sides......

Oh, i hope it would be good for that price! For separate parts of wheel it should be around 100-110$: 30$ for hub, 15$ for rim, 30$ for spokes and 30$ for decent tire. And some work too, yeah :)

And some included shipping from China.

I don't know where you can get rims or dual disc hubs at such prices. Maybe you should post links so others can take advantage.

Maybe your thinking to highly of an unbelievably priced items.

Lets hope your riding speeds are not more then say 20-25mph. Otherwise you need to look for a known entity.

Yes, you're right, i've mistakenly related to my memory, got some prices slightly wrong and completely forgot about shipping costs. Here the links anyway:

Hubs for about 30$: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32964485033.html
Edited: Dual disk hub for about 45$: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32887090011.html
Rim for about 30$: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32994082649.html
Spokes for about 10$ (just for example, i didn't search for exact matching spokes set): https://aliexpress.ru/item/32823977437.html
Tire + tube set (it's russian local manufacturer, 2383 rubles is about 30$ today): http://rutire.ru/item.php?id=21&pet=1

Yes, you right, i ride at legal moped speeds, which is 50 km/h in Russia (31 mph). Hence the slack in components choice.

Little cheaper option if you know how to lace and true a wheel.

Also, there is a similar hub on a ebay for exact same price, with thanks to Overloard202000 for a link.
