Other uses for a spoke

I was watching this the other day, and just noticed how the builder used a nipple and a spoke as the throttle for the mini gas engine he made out of a fridge compressor.

On the topic of uses for a spoke, I like to use a spare spoke to get the nipple into a double wall rim.

I have lots of spare spokes, will use one to puncture the seal of epoxy once the end is snipped off.

I will use an old spoke to mix up epoxy.
 
I loved using spokes to clean out the drains in my apartment because i was married to a shedder and she'd clog shit up good.... :lol:
 
Gross! But effective I imagine.
I bent a few around into a carabiner shape using the neck as the catch. Works quite well for light loads ~1-2 kg
