   Does anyone know what year they fixed this? Did they ever fix this?
NOT talking about when driving.
When the car sits, the entire pack is continuously drained by a coolant pump and electronics. it does not stop when cells go below 3.00v or 2.00v or 1.00v it just stays on til death  (about 3 months?)
So i learned the "Service Disconnect" plug has to be pulled anytime it is parked more than a month(my opinion). How many owners know this? This stops all drains- and should be put in "tow mode" before it is pulled, otherwise the wheels are locked  How do they think this stuff up

Old news...
This was an issue with some of the earliest Mk 1 Roadsters (2008^~) , and caused by owners not sticking to the battery maintenance recommendations of periodic recharging if not used regularly.
Tesla installed automatic alarms to alert owners and changed BMS controls on later versions.
There were only 2500 Roadsters in total, (less than 1000 in the USA),.. few of which were subject to this problem and i suspect all those owners are well aware of the problem , even likely having upgraded their pack and BMS by now ( Tesla has a pack replacement/upgrade programme for the Roadster)

well, it can't be NEW news
Here is #1459 the last roadster built, with a bricked pack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKvL5Fc2ZO4&ab_channel=GruberMotorCompany
not sure today, but the S seems to have the problem too.
It is a common problem on gas cars. Corvettes often sit for the winter and if the owner does not disconnect the battery, it can be dead and sometimes won't recover and it costs like $100 for a new one. compared to $20,000 for the S
.
Also Powerwalls brick too  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1_qY5ta54g&ab_channel=HBPowerwall
2015 now 0 volts

explains why cells can't be replaced

Even more reason not to buy a Tesla or any EV for that matter. A high gas mileage vehicle is just fine to buy and drive. Small vehicles arent really anything I pay attention to, I know Toyota Matrix is very small and when buying a vehicle for a lot of money, Toyota is the go to place, then Honda.

Tesla is changing the world :bigthumb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m0nuW3Tud0&ab_channel=CasgainsAcademy
Once FSD is out and all over, i'd guess 3-10 years, i plan to just call a robo-taxi and not bother with car insurance, repairs, etc; and to keep pedaling my bike to the stores.
.
while i don't like the battery expenses on an old EV, i'm fine with EV's taking over the roads :bigthumb:

Which is like saying that gas cars use leaded gas, and that's even more reason not to buy any kind of gas car - because they put lead in your lungs.
