I'm considering starting an Endless-sphere podcast (cross posted to this section :http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19533)

Anyone interested in helping out or just plain interested in seeing it happen?

Sounds cool. I'm in. I'll watch, or help, whatever.

I think most important would be the list of topics. Things we'd like to see.

Podcast Topic list - things I'd sign up to see:

Charging setups
Meanwell mod
cell testing
passing Lycra riders
interview with local business selling the e-scoots
interview with local e-celebs
shop tours
interview with streamliner/velomobile makers
conversion of standard bike to hub motor

Add to the list of Crazy Ideas for Podcasts!

Sound like a great teaching and learning tool not to mention some fun we could have with it too!

It certainly seems like a monthly podcast is do-able, even with my schedule. There is so much material here that it would be hard not to have a great podcast. The hard part would be summing up all the great topics that come up in a month! Ill definitely get started on this shortly. Anyone interested in Skyping in PM me.

great idea.

i'd suggest before going deep into the tech, the first one be interviews/stories by members of the community on the theme(s) of:
- how/why i got into ebiking (me: for my wife, to commute over hills!)
- what the biggest challenges were at the time and how i overcome them (deciding what to buy - gm kit, ping 48v)
- my first impressions as an ebiker (the grin, the freedom, etc)

starting out is hard, and ES was intimidating at first. we all started somewhere...

it's funny, i've just been working with audacity. nice open source program but sound editing is intense. what format were you going to use?

EDIT: I just noticed the last post was from July! anything ever happen with this?

It's funny you just reposted this now because I'm very close to releasing the first one. I almost recorded it on Sunday but Halloween got in the way... I really want to keep the podcast focused more on technical aspects, but I think interviews are a great idea. I don't want it to be too boring or too unapproachable. At the same time, there are enough content-averse podcasts

P.S. Anyone who has a good microphone and wants to be interviewed or do a little rag-chewing in general PM me, and we'll get the ball rolling.

Got a shout out on this week's episode of The Amp Hour. If you want to see what a more-professional electronics podcast sounds like check him out: http://www.theamphour.com/

just listened to the podcast,i thought it was fun.no typing involved.good job guys :D .

Excellent job guys. I like it.

Thanks!

I'm looking into recording another episode this weekend (either black Friday or the Sunday following). Anyone interested on possibly joining a Skype round-table?

the sound quality was great, the overlapping was kinda funny sometimes, didnt mind one bit.

Good to hear! I'll have that worked out next time. There are about 20 programs I can use to record skype calls, and I havn't found one that works well yet

I'm going to record another episode this week. If anyone is free this Thurs-Fri after 6PM Eastern, has a decent microphone/skype capabilities, and wants to talk ebikes, let me know!

Keep-um comming! Way to go!
