Lived in Tornado Alley for 13yrs. People ask me did I see a Tornado up close. The answer is i'm here to tell the tale so, no.

Lived in Hennessey, OK and seen plenty of destruction. Some time I will scan some pictures and upload them. From the 80's.
The reason did not see any up close was we would go underground in a storm shelter and flying debris makes it risky for your eye sight. Have you seen straw sticking in poles. Had one come over my house in the country side in the middle of the night. Woke up and gathered my family in a closet under the stairs until it passed. Did not dare to go out to the storm shelter. Lots of destruction that night. Has a Rabbit in a Cage/hutch outside, found the Cage 1/2 mile away. No rabbit, guess it got away.

We had earthquakes form the oil field pumping out oil and gas and injecting the salt water back in the injections wells. They are not much to talk about, could hardly feel them back then. Much worse 40yrs later.

It’s very expensive so most people don’t have it.

At least we now have the location of the non-earthquake event. Navy ships shelled the island gunnery range perhaps?
