Hello. I bought an e-scooter "Aima Tiger X6" that I like very much. It has an 1800W Bosch hub motor and comes with a 60v28Ah lithium removable battery. The top speed is 45-47km/h. Unfortunately, I have no technical info about the motor, battery or controller. I would be interested to program the controller for higher speed and maybe torque and if not possible to change it. Can someone help me find out if my controller is programmable and what sort of controller is that. As special function it has some sort of boost button which gives a top speed of about 50 km/h and also reverse button, very handy. Thank you.

Hi friend, any updates on that?

They'll start selling this scooter in Brazil and I'd like to get one. But, as any good DIYer I want to check how MODable it`ll be.

Hi, I own one of these and it will only do 20kmh!!! how do i get it to go any faster without touching the speed controller, i believe there may be a key sequence to get it out of this restricted mode

Mine has a switch that circles through 3 speeds. Also, have you managed to derestrict it?

Hello,

I'll reply here instead of replying in the private messages :)

I don't know this brand of controller, it seems like it is decent but you can't expect much power from it. I don't see any kind of wiring or plug suitable for programming, it is possible that there is some kind of plug inside the box but you probably won't have the programming software anyways.
So I'd say if you want more power you'll have to ditch this controller and install an other one. It's not as complicated as it sounds, you'll just have to figure out which wire goes where, it's not rocket science and we'll try our best to help you doing that.

The only probable drawback might be that your dashboard screen might not be compatible anymore with some functions, like speed display. That's a minor inconvenience in my opinion.

Hi Guys, New member here.

I own one of this and I was wondering if anyone has figure a way to enter the service mode of the bike. (mine has a button on the right side for this as well as a usb cable that might as well be only for charging stuff)

I had a puncture at my back tire and since I got someone to change it the battery now dies way faster, i know other bikes have to calibrate the motor and probably that is what mine needs now.

Thanks in advance guys! :)

If the motor wires were reconnected differently than before, then that is probably what is causing it. If they're in connectors that can't be re-ordered then it's less likely, but a lot of scooters use bolt-on phase wire connections, so all that has to happen is the wires get bolted back on in a different order, and stuff doesnt' work right.

The wrong wiring order with the phases vs halls (phase / hall combo) will cause greater power usage, if you get a "false positive", where the motor does turn the right direction, and appears to work, but it draws much higher currents and the motor and controller and wiring may get much hotter.

Does the wheel offground spin much faster than it used to? If so, then this is almost certainly what's wrong.

There are many posts that show how to find the right phase / hall wiring combo. If you search my posts for "phase hall combo" you'll probably find a number of them. In the case of phase wires that bolt on, but hall wires that are in a block connector, you just unbolt the phase wires and try the different possible orders, as there are only six. until it works like it used to.

Hi Amberwolf

Thanks for your reply, they were connected and labeled, and re attached the same way. I don't think that's the issue, is more like a play of the wheel.

On a bright note i managed to connect a cruise control option which makes riding easier now :)

For everyone else finding info regarding this bike i have the following

It has been sold all around the world under different brand names.

Vietnam:; Pega Newtech
Russia, China: Aima Tiger X6
Brazil: Voltz EV1

I also found a Russian forum that is worth checking out
https://aima.in.ua/?fbclid=IwAR3p0W0hcG2FNEMmnskV_KkUnoVmyCs55UjWRQ83M4FB2P8QrEuGfU0G3kM
(they also have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pg/aima.in.ua/posts/

And a Russian youtube channel that has c
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0GjZQ636lF2QRc45Ka5KZA/videosruise control mod video and some speed restriction settings

The final piece of information is that the Brazilian edition has a speed mod coming up (i guess is a controller and battery update)

If you guys have some more information it would be cool to be shared here.

Have a great day!

If it's play in the wheel, then that's a mechanical problem you have to physically fix, and no service mode or setting can possibly help you with that.
