Hi guys
I am sure you will be interested.
I have a QS 138v3, VESC 100/250, 22 SPIM08a cells and a shitty electric moped

I'll attach some pictures
See what you think!

So after having a few throttle issues and some motor tuning I have it running pretty great.

The gearing is much shorter than I initially hoped. It is unbelievably high torque. I think top speed is about 45kmh
I will change the rear sprocket to a 30t and that should bring the torque back a bit and improve top speed.

I think its about 10kw getting pushed in. On gravel it will immediately wheel spin at any time and on tarmac it will try and throw you off the back

Attached picture is with the front wheel lifted and the rear spinning a little. Likely about 120 battery amps

I have since put the thing on the dyno and upped the phase current to 420a
It runs 30 wheel horse power

I have also geared it up a bunch, now it goes to about 70kmh. Next up I will play with field weakening to get a touch higher top speed without limiting my down low acceleration. Actually maybe I should up the gearing a bit more cause its a bit much wheel torque, throw you off the back type thing.

Some of us can only dream of such a thing, we are reduced to watching a video of a guy falling off the back of a hp ebike and lose his shoe on a gravel road in the hills of Cali, one can only imagine within sight of the ocean waves breaking onto the shore.

Nice moped, I dig it.

VESC 100/250

do you like your controller?

The controller is okay but I am far beyond what it is designed for.

I wish there was a 500 phase amp capable version of what I have.
The motor is only getting a little warm where the ESC is getting to the thermal limit (80c) after one run unless I let it fully cool down

Hope this helps

Very nice output :thumb:
Do you have more data from the dyno? Like a detailed table of output at different rpm. I suppose it is wheel rpm, what was the gearing?
What volt and amp from the battery?

The RPM that is there is just dyno RPM. I am unsure what the ratio is. We tried calculating the RPM fully to find the motors rotor speed but it was beyond what the dyno was made for (normally you hit 180km/h at 8000rpm for example) where I was up at 5000 at 30km/h

I will ask and see if I can get a table output.
The man with the dyno is just next door to work

I am running 22S SPIM08HP with the charger on it during the runs. Voltage was about 90v during the run.
I forgot what battery current was but I think 260a

I was surprised at how accurately the power going into the motor was changing the reading on the dyno.
The phase current was also exactly as wheel torque

Unfortunately it has turned into winter around here so its a bit cold to drive around on the daily.
I still need to up the gear ratio.
It was remarkably easy to build, maybe that means I am learning things.

I can dig up a video after the dyno run where everyone was taking turns doing massive skids

The main pain point of the machine is the battery runtime. They have more current available but it doesn't really matter because its so fast already.
What it really needs is a 20-60ah battery so I could actually take it a decent distance.

If I apply heaps of throttle then I can only travel about 15km before the battery dies.
If I was to be very slow then I have no idea how far it could travel but certainly less than 50KM

I did find a couple more pictures of the dyno data but it is not as detailed as I was expecting
