Hello all,
Doing my research, I fell on many cheap dirt bikes available for sales, that are all equipped with a ~12kW motor with integrated 4 gears gearbox that look really the same.

At list:

LMR E-LM (sometimes called Velimotor VMX12)

NICOT E-Beast

BHR E-Race

The firts 2 are clearly cheap as chinese good old ICE Dirt bikes. The ones that break in two as soon as you jump more than 70cm high... . The BHR seems to be a chinese made chassis base too, but looks a lot more serious in term of equipment. But the motor unit looks exactly the same from outside. Even if they propose better figures of power. Maybe a customized version of the same initial product. Or just a better controller.

I watched Youtube videos and it looks like working pretty good for all of them. (Question, of course, is how long???)

So I digged a bit more, and found this same motor unit , on Alibaba of course, and for pretty cheap.

Did enyone already tried anything with it?

I'm not a big fan of the manual gearbox on an e-bike but could be interesting for some conversions. And could save a lot of work and money spent on transmission and gearing ration problem solving...

I did my maths, alway using my YZF250 rear wheel for speed calculation, and attached what I've found.

I assumed that final is a 13/45 teeth sprocket set and I calculated the max torque using the given peak power and assuming that max torque is achieved @ 4k rpm (like the QS) and that the 6k rpm is obtained with deflux.

Torque in Nm = 9.5488 x Power (kW) / Speed (rpm)

But The values seems high. Do you think I miscalculated something?
