Hello ES people,

After building a lot off fast E MTB this is my last build.
It started with a Derby senda frame wich was heavly modified. It is partly build with gasgas TXT 270 parts.
It rips every stip hill like it is a joke. Only problem is grip.

Motor is Much more than needed but at this moment 42 Volt and 300 Amps. is just enough. Need a more powerfull controller, and maby more volts. Overall weight is 70 kg. First reduction 11:27 second 13:41.
 
Motenergy ME-0913 Brushless DC Permanent Magnet Motor Battery is a 10 unitcell (42 volt) from Mitsubishi PHEV.
Controller is Kelly KEB. Speed max is 38 km/h and weight is 70 kg. Torque enough due the 2 stage chain reduction.
First chain is a Industrial chain and chainwheels, second is a 520 motorcycle chain. Streetlegal :p
 
Got a problem with the sevcom. No place to mount him.
Should bring 540 Amp peak. Will be more than 24 Kw. Porblem is the dimensions of the sevcon.
 
Stil got troubles with the Sevcon. Programming is a pain in the ass.
Does anybody had experience mounting a domino Throtle to a sevcon gen4.
 
Got the Sevcon working verry good. It is such a beast with only 36 Volt. We have 11 Kw. and 115 Nm Torque. These are figures reading from the Sevcon. Due to the first reduction the Torque at the Wheel is almost 3 times the motor torque.
The bike is insane strong and pulls up agains everything. Will make some movies of the bike in action. Next Upgrade is a 14 s2 Lipo battery. Loosing some weight an have some extra Kw. is yhe goal.

Did you get the domino Throttle working with the Sevcon gen 4? Did you have to do anything special to make it work? Are you using all 5 wires or just 3?

I am also using that throttle a gen 4 size 6. If you need some help with programming the gen 4 send me a message. Maybe I can help.
 
Got the throttle working just fine. All 5 wires conected. Swiths function in throtte is also used for safty. The bike wil be soon tested by a Dutch Trail specialist.
Everything on the bike works great. I have build a 14s1 lipo and going to test this soon. With the LG 10S2 it is a great trail bike but I think the motor is overkilled (weight 18 Kg) so I will be building a new lighter trailbike soon. Thinking of using a Kelly again with the next bike. The Sevcon gen 4 is way to heavy.
 
Bike is sold to a trail expert who was verry excited about the amount of torque and the easy driving.
New project is coming and wil be a new trail bike lighter better etc, Plan is to buy a young Sherco trial bike and get rid of the engine and make it electric with lighter parts.
 
Did not buy a sherco but a Gasgas TXTe eta-motor.
The controller wil be changed because I don't like. Weight is 63 kg compleet with battery.
The bike feels verry solid and strong. Battery is a 48 V 25 Ah.
First reduction is beld secon is chain.

Not a kelly controller but a decent sinus-wave controller, the bike is a TXT-pro and is streetlegal as a moped.
First reduction stage is a beld, second the Original chain and gasgas sprockets. Regent and power can be adjust with a potentiometer on the handelbar. Simpel but it works. Not just 3 modi but every combi is possible. So you can tune it custom.

I'm catching up on your past purchases. Now I see why you can recommend not going with this gear design. It is a super good looking bike though - I love how they made it so clean.
 
Yes it looks verry nice and with al the modifications I did it also rides lijke it lookes. It has so much torque that it is a fun to drive. The controller has been upgraded for a Nucular 24F and this makes the beast awake. It so much better, wheelies are a piece of cake.
Cost are $8000,- new. Price but worth every cent.
 
Just build another trail bike. Converted A old gasgas 270 into a electric trail bike.
Took the petrol engine out and placed a Perm Brushed pancake at the same mounts. Had a Sevcon powerpack lying around the garage and fixed this to the Perm. Did no 2 stage but direct 11-71 t. The sevcon does 450 Amp. and is realy powerfull. Weight is somewhere around 80 kg but sure is nice to play with. The gasgas TXT ETA is stil fun to ride. Has a 16S battery and with the NUCULAR 24F is realy is powerfull and lightweight. But during winter there is little time to ride so I thought why not convert the loud gasbike.WhatsApp Image 2021-01-20 at 19.55.13.jpeg
 
It has 71 teeth and is for a 420 chain. Bought it at a local Derby mopedshop. Tey use this sprocket for mopedcross. Steel version only and cost 17,- euro. I build the bike as direct drive and realy works well. Has a lot of Torque at only 36 Volt but 450 Amp, makes it a good trailbike. The shop wil send trought europa for 10,- euro post&package.
 
Got some problems with my gasgas eta. Did a new build so put the old F24 on the new build. Ordered a new 24F and waited one year. The new 24F arrived februari 2022, and build the new one on the old gasgas eta. Everything went well but since two weeks I have a problem with the combination. Responce Throttle without load is fine. Autodetect is fine. Driving the bike is unpossible. It is just like misfire on a petrolbike. The start is hikking with sometimes power te next second nothing then again power then nothing. It just not acceleration. The bike did ride great for a lot of time. Suddenly it stopped and started like misfiring. Have changed the Hallsensors 3 times but no luck. Also changed the battery without luck. Where do I have to look to solved this problem.
