So either your issue comes from the throttle itself, or, more likely, a wrong setup of some parameters in the controller interface.

The controller used before only has a case which looks similar to Sabvoton, but it is from Powervelocity (Infineon based) with speed based throttle which sucks in every way for vehicles as powerful as this one.

I did change the forks on my scooter, well it only improved looks, for a few months.
Problem is, good quality forks are very expensive...
Chinese knockoff brakes are really decent though, the only thing that could be improved is the quality of the pistons seals, they tend to get sticky after a while.
Mine are made by Frando, they are awesome.

That would be the case with a real sabvoton too. That was the whole reason why I purchased it in the first place :wink:

My bike needs 33mm/385mm front forks, same as Yamaha BWs/Zuma 125. I was thinking of something like these which offer two levels of adjustment: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32816562992.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.75992e0e70l2u1

Well that is a happy coincidence. The empty gas-filler opening under the seat is a perfect fit for a NEMA L6-30P 30A 240V inlet. This will be just the ticket for level 2 charging. At 25A that would be 1.8kW which is a huge jump from my current 5A charger. Anyway, I'm starting to collect the bits and pieces to make it happen eventually. Note that the charger would fit under the flat part of the underseat compartment as shown in the photo.

Yours look a bit better, at least it seems like they can be adjusted.
 
After doing some homework I've finally ordered all the parts needed to build a custom dash console to replace the useless one that came with the bike. Here's my latest design showing before/after. Note: the panel holding everything has yet to be determined. I'd love it covered in carbon fiber, but I may start out with something simple like HDPE.

Note 1: the Coulomb meter is not waterproof from the factory -- I'm going to have to come up with something.

Note 2: the Speedometer dash does not come wired for 3-speed (even though the board supports it). I'm going to have to do some simple soldering...(see photo below which shows the actual board I received)

Step 1: this is what it looks like mounted in place of my previous speedometer. Having some issues with the hall-to-speed conversion but I think it will just take some grunt work to get right. In the meantime, it was practically plug and play: I just had to modify a single wire and it all worked. I love how "readable" it is. So far so good.

The controller has a pin B6 which is supposed to be connected to a speedometer. Previously, I had it hooked up to the PowerVelocity Bluetooth module and it worked flawlessly -- until, that is, the PV BT module got fried. So I have a bit of head scratching here. According to the APT documentation, B6 can have a value of 1, 2, or 4. But it is not clear what that does -- or where to set it. From the speedometer manufacturer, all they offer is a screw pot like thing as shown in the photo below. Between APT (the manufacturer of the controller) and the no-name speedometer manufacturer lies some sort of answer. Just got to fiddle with it I guess.

Well it would appear that this display requires a phase wire to drive the speedometer. Or at least, that is how I am interpreting the following response from the seller:

which way u takes for speed ?
usually for this kind of display it has 5 ways to take signal -- this depends on your controller program
1. phase wire
2. hallsensor
3. one for all wire -- also for hallsensor
4. error type
5. communication type

when choose a display please check first which type your controller is.
and please choose voltage same with your battery rated voltage.
this display default setting it takes phase wire for speed.

"One for all" is... a single pulse per revolution? Per phase cycle? I assume the first two are the usual connections direct from the motor, and "communication" is some unspecified UART/CAN/MODBUS/whatever interface. Wonder what "error type" could possibly be?
 
So the plot thickens. It appears the speedometer is pre-wired to use Phase via a pin labeled SD (the purple wire in the photo below). But there is an empty pin right next to it labeled YXT which I am led to believe is the so-called "one wire for all" circuit that my controller outputs. Guess I'm going to try to wire her up and hope nothing melts. Wish me luck.

P.S. apparently YXT = Yīxiàn tōng = 一线通 = one wire
and apparently SD = Shíqí diànliú = 时期电流 = period (or phase) current
 
Well I've given up on the above PHOEBELIU speedometer and just ordered a "better" one today to replace it.

Sadly, the so-called "one wire for all" pin does nothing. And after directly wiring a phase wire to the speedometer -- as instructed by the vendor -- all I get is inconsistent, unpredictable, illogical values shown for speed. Worse, the LEDs are not bright enough to view the screen in full sunlight. After this frustrating experience, I cannot in good conscious recommend this product -- or perhaps any of the cheaper AliExpress speedometers either. Save your money.

I shouldn't have wasted my time trying to go cheap. OTOH, we'll have to see how this one works. Crossing my fingers.

Unlike the previous el-cheapo speedometer from AliExpress, the QSmotor CT-22 speedometer console will require a bit more work with regards to wiring. Here's what I believe to be what will be needed for my particular application.

240V power is now available from my house to my bike thanks to a 50' 240V 30A L6-30 extension cord I fabricated. Just waiting on the Level 2 charger from AliExpress, which I will mount hidden underneath the flat part of seat storage.

Went for a 30mi run with "the big boys" today. A fairly big event south of Boston with Police escort through five towns. About 300 bikes all told. The cause was to raise money for kids with cancer (see Magical Moon Foundation: https://www.magicalmoon.org). Here's a pix of my little electric scooter in a sea of Harley's, Honda's, Yamaha's, Kawasaki's, choppers, etc. I had no problem keeping up either.

Other than trial and error? Nope. But there is a glimmer of hope: the vendor responded to my query with a request for the diameter of my tire (however, that is not what I asked for). We'll see how he responds. Not holding my breath though.

P.S. my trial and error got me pretty much an exact match with my GPS. Still haven't got a clue what the values mean though.
