Hi!

Im planning to build 14s2p battery. This will be my first battery build so I still have some questions. This battery will be connected to Tongssheng TSDZ2 so the maximum discharge would be about 15 amps and likely not even that much for long perioids because I will be using small assist levels usually. I chose 14s2p so it can be fitted to saddlebag.

I already bought a spotwelder: DIY Arduino Battery Spot Welder Kit V3.3 Full Bundle Car Battery

At first I watched cells from Aliexpress, but after reading some customer reviews there and some information on this forum I think NKON.NL will be better choice.

I was about to choose Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900mAh, but latest reviews on NKON.NL are not very good.

Would LG INR18650-M29 2850mAh - 10A be a good pick for this type of battery?

Any other suggestions for cells?

Which one of these BMS would be better?
14S Li-ion battery BMS 14S 48V 20A, 30A and 40A BMS For 14S 51.8V 500W-2000W lithium ion battery pack With balance function

or
Deligreen 48V BMS 14S 25A 35A 45A 60A 48V PCB for 3.7V lithium battery pack 18650 Li-ion LiNCM Scooter
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32890214988.html
Deligreen has option to have seperate discharge and charge ports or to share the same one? Does this matter?
Are there better options than these two?

Would 0.15mm nickel strips be enough or should I use 0.2mm?

Which connector would be best for charge and discharge?

I intend to assemble the pack like the Luna Cycle Mighty Mini Battery so there will be series connection
halfway the pack where pairs will be connected by just one strip. Is it ok to just weld another strip on top
of another exactly on the same spot or are there any better tips for that?

I thought about 14s3p too. If assembled the same way it would be maybe small enough for some bigger saddlebag. Maybe that is the next battery I build.

Any other tips are welcome too. There is so much to learn when you are new to battery building.

Thanks.

i would take the E29, they are cnosiderably cheaper for the same capacity.
i would use 0.2mm not 2mm.

plug is easy: XT90 or EC5. but mind you get the real ones.

do consider upgrading to 3P, you will improve the lifespan of the pack considerably.
