Where dispose of potted lifepo4 battery

Post by Hummina Shadeeba » Apr 05 2021 2:12pm

I have (98) 26650 A123 cells that are potted and I messed up and shorted two and am now trying to throw the whole battery away (a shame) but only seeing places that will accept smaller amounts of cells that are broken down. This potted battery will not break down without some intense deconstruction. Tempted to leave it in the parking lot of Home Depot where they take lithium batteries but must be smaller.

Fire halls that accept disposals.

Some towns/counties have a few Hazmat disposal days per year where they accept most anything

Batteries plus will take your batteries. I'm pretty sure they're all over the country. And kewl little stores, too.
