im trying to build a 13s pack 48v,im trying to use repackr to sort the cells,where it asks for the number of cells in series i say 13,when it gives me the results it only lists the total voltage as 38 and only lists 8 groups of cells,whats going on here?
 
You need to input each cells value in mah that you have measured. The results will make your pack with your available cells "as even" as possible as we know groups of cells acts as one. Why use this. If one cell group is 10ah in your 13s pack after you and the rest sits at 11ah. Then the pack will act as its weakest cell group. By using the program you will get a better battery with the cells you've got.

13s 48v pack is usually build by 4 or 5 in each group or specified as 13x4p (=52 cells), 13x5p (=65 cells in total)

Back to repackr subject, you may go on some level of mistake

U should do match battery serial and parallel blocks by internal resistance matching for optimal performance

a cell 2500mAh 30mohm is not the same as a 2500mAh 60mohm, or a 2500mAh 90mohm at electric veicule applications, thers a lot of difference for those. but for all power a simple led ,those cells are all tha same,same time led on, depends at current consumption

by matching only capacity cell value will get an unstable final system result. some week blocks will limit battery performance~
If luck you get a good battery, but u're playing casino.

there will be a math for calculate racio capacity mAh per internal resistance mohms
by doing this racio you could get direct result for cell health , example this cell is at 70%cap and other one is at 90% performance status

now you can match same health level cells, a 70% matches other 70% health status
 
another quick explanation
example U hav a 2000mAh cell at some charger at some level of current.

when cell gets used/cycled internal resistence increases
you will get (take example) --> 2500mAh at 500mA charge, U get 2000mAh at 1A charging, this will be same effect for inverse process at discharging. U get 2500mAh @1A discharge, U get 2000mAh at 2A discharge rate and 1000mAh for a 5A discharge on a 5A original rated cell

this means some percentage of degradation , new cell will do 2500mAh at 1A,2A and 5A discharge.

As the battery must match the need Or esle
