I have Rowenta smart force cyclonic and the battery died. I would replace the new 18650 cells but I don't know which ones. I have a small spot welding machine.
Battery declaration : 14.8 V 4400 mAh 65,12 Wh
It's inside 8 pcs no-name 18650 cells 2200mAh

Tnx

Theres always BatteryHookup.com if you're here in the US. They usually have a nice selection of deeply discounted batteries and stuff.

Otherwise, 8 pieces of 2200mah or better 18650 should not be hard to find. You could always look for new or used battery packs for portable power tools and carefully harvest the batteries from one of those.

I wonder what min. characteristics the battery should have, and I would like to put better quality with more capacity.

it has 60min runtime in low mode. so at least 4.5A of current. on high its at best double that so lets go with 8A. its a 4S2P battery so you can just get something like the LG INR18650-MJ1. that should give you a 35% capacity bump.

Sorry for the bad photos

I can't find them ( LG INR18650-MJ1) at decent prices in the European Union , what do you think about
Panasonic NCR18650BD 3100mAh - 10A?

https://eu.nkon.nl/rechargeable/li-ion/18650-size/lg-inr18650-mj1-3500mah-10a-refurbished.html

extremely reputable store. these cells are spotwelded and then ripped from the pack again. they have a deal with a local battey refurb company. if they mess up they rip the pack apart and send the cells back to them so us poor people can buy them at a discount.

or get the samsung 35E: https://eu.nkon.nl/rechargeable/li-ion/18650-size/samsung-inr18650-35e-refurbished.html also cheaper.

I forgot to mention, that device never worked, so new, but it couldn't charge the battery, maybe the battery just "fell asleep" and you just need to wake it up?

in that case the battery is already dead, you have to replace the cells, these will be damaged and unsafe.
