Hi,
I'm designing a 20s9p pack that cannot be shaped in the ideal 20x9 cell rows for space contraints. The layout I'm gonna use is based on a 3x3 parallel box to be connected in 20x series.

Anyone have done this before ? The drawback I see is that the series connetions will be on the last 3 cells only thus I would like to know if it make sense to add a second bus bar strip between the other cells in the series connection.

Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

I did some home work.

I will use a 150A BMS and it means that the 3 series bridges will reach 50A each. Definitelly too much for a single 0.1mm Nickel strip.

I'm now looking to Copper+Nickel

You could avoid a bunch of extra labor and nonsense by using SPIM08HP or some other high power pouch cell. Or even easier, a prismatic cell like this with threaded studs. You certainly wouldn't be limited by the ampacity of nickel strips.
