48v 30a lifepo4 reports 54v at battery but 26v in bms20210921_153051_copy_1024x768.jpg

I purchased this life po4 battery about 2 years ago

I have pictures attached

The sad thing is I managed to screw it up the first week I got it by shorting the battery but it could have been more.

I think I touched the two polarities together but may have done something else but I'm not sure cuz I don't remember.

When I test the voltage with my multimeter on the battery before the BMS it shows a full 54 or 55 volts as it should.

However when I test it when it's connected to the BMS it only shows about 25 volts.

I also noticed when I try to charge it up that some red lights turn on the BMS.

Batt 16 to batt 11 red lights

Does anyone have any idea what I should do to perhaps try to reset the BMS or something similar?

Should I simply replace the BMS or can I do something more simpler and cheaper?

Would there be any harm in me disconnecting the white connector to the BMS with all the wires?

I will be doing such things outside if I do them!
