Using an Ego 56v charger for the new Echo 56v batteries?

The early Echo cordless tools were set up for 58v, the newer ones are 56v, which means a new charger and all new tool set.

The new Echo 56v batteries come in higher 5.0 amp-hours, which is an improvement over the older 4.0 aH, 58v one.

Since I have the newer Echo 56v battery but not the new 56v charger, I am thinking if it were practical to jump the Ego 56v charger since I have the Ego charge, and use it to charge the Echo batteries. Although the voltages are rated the same, the form factors are a totally different design and that won't allow an easy interchange with each other.
