I found this new (to me) device and would like to get some expert advice or opinions on it. I am planning my first battery build and think this would be perfect, but maybe some of you have experience or better ideas. I want to use 72 of these 3.7v 80ah cells to build a 24s3p 84v 240ah battery. I am planning for three BMS’s , one for each 24s, and each with a touchscreen to monitor and control each cell. This new board would balance between my three 24s, but is that really necessary? So long as I monitor and balance charge any off cells separately to always keep them balanced? I see there are also separate active balance units for batteries, and I am wondering if anyone knows about those. Thank you guys.

If you build the pack so the 3p groups are connected, you can use a single BMS. That thing is interesting but really for combining separate packs.
