I accidentally shorted a module yesterday. I still get 3.8V from the cell (7.7V from the module) and the pack gives me 54.5V as expected. SoC is approx 50%. Is it dangerous to use it like this
If it's a very brief short (less than a second) shouldn't be a problem. Kind of a tossup whether to be more concerned about deformed cell caused by dropping the battery or a very brief short.
Well! I had to remove the copperplate on the pole (is it correct, pole) because it was velded to the bus bar after the short, so now the module is garbage.
I will replace it with a new, old one which I will get from a friend.
