I'm building a 88.2v 180ah battery, I plan to charge at 80a.

Im a bit unfamiliar with balancing current but it seems having something high would be good.

Can I use this 5a bms https://a.co/d/0lotCz5 and then get another bms hooked up in parallel that has Bluetooth to monitor cell voltage? (Possibly this one https://a.co/d/62TVUnv)

It seems like you could do that but the balancer has a fairly high current drain on standby which will slowly drain your pack. If it has a good sleep mode, you might be OK. Older versions of capacitive balancers didn't work very well. It would be good to find someone who has actually tested this model.

Despite the title, that looks like just a flying capacitor active balancer. It isn't a BMS the way the term is used here. There are no MOSFETs to allow it to cut off charging or discharging when certain amps current are reached, for example, or when low voltage or high voltage cut off is reached. The only parameters listed are when it enables and disables balancing, not when it cuts off charge and discharge. The A rating in this case is the balance current, not the charge or discharge limits.

Today I learned that balancers are a thing. And while a bms is also a balancer, a balancer is not a bms.

And actually what I want is a balancer and that has made my search so much easier! Thank you all!
