Hi folks.

The specs for the ecitypower 1500W (http://www.ecitypower.com/pdf/w1500.pdf) sold at bmsbattery.com or on ebay, look pretty much like a carbon copy of the ElCon PFC1500 (http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/PFC1500.pdf).

However, it's difficult to tell what type of charge curve the ecitypower charger uses. It's so confusing with so many companies oem'ing chargers from other comapnies...it's hard to tell what's actually different vs. the same.

Does anyone have any experience with this charger? The ecitypower version runs for around $389 shipped (or arond $350 on ebay) to the US, which is almost $200 less than the Elcon.

Thanks!

we discovered that ecitypower is selling chargers made by King Power chargers in china. mr ping is now also selling the the king power chargers, which he had modified for lifepo4 charging, rather than lipo, by king power. he had a thread on it here earlier in the year.

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know if there is a relationship (and what it is) between the ecitypower/King chargers and the Elcon chargers?

Thanks!

Hi !

Does anyone have the programming interface for these chargers.
Or have a specification what kind of data can be obtained from it, and how it can be controlled over the CAN bus?

Best regards

Have you tried emailing ecitypower? They normally respond very quickly to most queries.

Hello all users of Elcon chargers:
Years ago, our chargers works with BMS from Guantuo. As a manufacturer of these chargers, I'm pleased to offer the updated news directly from our factory for you. Recently, our ElCon charger can successfully work with Elithion BMS which has been carefully tested by our customers. Thanks for their great effort to test. It is a great advance.

Hi nancylooloo ,
in case you refer to centric automotive as the customer who tested this combo: we found out that it only works successful with the 500kHz CAN Baud rate. But only if you switch off all the standard CAN messages Elithion would send normally. Otherwise the Elcon charger gets flooded with messages and shuts down.
The small Elcon charger (2kW) that only support 250kHz had trouble with the Elithion SOC-display. Because the SOC display won't run at 250kHz and its CAN-termination can't be disabled.

Well at least it works, somehow...
