Is 16 to 20 miles possible on 4-33amphr SLA w/ 24V 500W brushless conventional motor?---this is a trike.

Thanks

I think the real answer is "it depends".
You should consider: How fast, how many hills, how much stop & go, how hard will you be peddling and how quickly do you want to accelerate.

My usage is about 6-8Ah from a 48V A123 pack during my 20 mile commute to work. My total elevation change is about 300ft, avg speed is 20MPH, and I peddle hard on an upright Mtn bike with commuter tires. YMMV (Your mileage may vary).

Yes on the flats. If you have a big hill, maybe. When I was using lead acid, adding more lead actually resulted in running out of power even further from home on the uphill ride home. It was just that hard to lift lead up the long steep hill.

Given the cost of lead acid that big, you'd be better off with 15 ah of lifepo4. Similar range, a LOT lighter. But if you have the lead batteries already, then use em.
