Dear Xin Wang,
only some days ago, you have offered me complete modules shown by attached pictures.
On these pictures the 42s3p modules were complete.
If you have opened the modules in your factory and removed the cover plates, I cannot use your modules in my cars.
So think about what you are doing now.
Waiting for your reply,

Dear Xin Wang,
I really hope for you that you are not involved in such kind of dangerous business practice by Victpower Technology Co., Ltd.
Only a 1 hour ago you told me, that my ordered 42S3P modules doesn´t have BMS.
And now, this nearly pre-paid modules - worth 4.800 USD - are suddenly vanished as if by magic.
I will give you -resp. Victpower- a last change to comply my order.

26.04.2012 / 11:27 by xin wang <victpowersales@victpower.cn>
Im really sorry , it;s not my fault..and not intentionally neither Im not kidding with you
..if now have ,why dont sell then ...
What if u paid 4800USD to us..now suddenly no stock...what should i do then ??
Any suggestions????
Best Regards
xin wang

Dear Xin Wang,
Dealing is based on fixed contracts between Vendor and Buyer.
If Victpower insist on Pre-Paid in a contract, there MUST NEVER been
"SUDDENLY NO GOODS, SORRY" on the vendors side.
Be very careful what you are telling in future !!!

It might be a good idea to ask how many are in stock now, and IF they will hold your order quantity number if you send money immediately. In other words, they might hold your quantity ordered IF you pay by a certain time the same day? :?:

From comments like that, it sounds like you are new to ordering from China, and are still operating on a bunch of expectations of vendors in the developed world. Throw those expectations out the window, roll with the changes, or you will be very frustrated and angry and work your way into a worse and worse deal. Transactions from China a very different, very nebulous, and in the end you get what you get - every deal is a crapshoot. If you want to deal with a more Western-Style vendor, try mavizen.

Lessons learned, dont buy from shady sellers in China.

How do you define 'shady sellers'? By Western Standards, most if not all sellers in China qualify as 'shady' because they do business differently. My first deal with Victpower, for 110 single cells, went smooth as silk, I got quality product a few days after I ordered. My second one had a hiccup, but hopefully we are past that.

You have a choice - pay full retail with a place like Mavizen who conducts business Western-Style, or pay a fraction of the price with a Chinese Vendor and take your lumps.

You get what you pay for i guess.. Lowest price is not always the best choice.

Me too, no problem...56 cells $18 each, got them 5 days after paying. Smooth as silk.

It appears buying cells goes smooth...modules have had problems, buying, packing, quality.

These sellers are just traders....when the supply goes away they will sell rubber dog shit if they get it at a good price

Victpower's selling practices seem normal to me. They work on a first paid first served basis, since they hate waiting. It seems like they were mistaken about the 42s modules- and a shady seller would just go ahead and take the money instead of notifying potential customers.

pay quick, ask no questions, deal with what you end up with, expect the worst..hope for the best. typical buy from china method.

Amen, brother.

hiya, victpower is a big company i think and they have some pro touches to their products, i bought a cheap 20ah 48v from them a while back and iwas excellent for about 100 rides, and then i charged it at 3 4 degrees temperature and it slowly decreased from there, after about 40 more cycles it was on 6 ah! i stil have those cells, not as good as other ones that can be obtained from china, the all the cells in the pack is puffed into a trapezoid shape!

Since it is about purchasing from them.
When you have problem with goods from them
They claim they prOvide warranty.
Should we take such claim seriously or is it just cosmetic to make thir web site look better?
I got 3 bad cells and I am in process to convince them send me replacement.
Is going to show how they live up to what they say

agniusm bought his loose sells from them and they did replace the bad ones.

Amen, brother.

still better than buying fron james morrison or dave kois!

i don't think dave was responsible for that theft. just james.

Initally just James with EVC, then Dave started Currentevtech...selling but not delivering products...then disapearing.

After close to 10 emails exchanges Victpower still has not send me replacements.
They want me to place another order so they can send replacements with it
I told them to use Post Office if DHL so expensive forthem
A123RC sends by Post so it can be done from China

End

did you ever take a picture of where you said the pouch is shorting the mylar to the electrode?
that would help us understand, if you posted up a picture of all 3, where you said they are shorted.

+1 - I am having trouble envisioning how this could occur.

-JD

Of course I posted pictures in another thread not only that I sent them pictures they know very well how those three are faulty
Envision?
Just look at the bottom of terminals on your cells
What do you see?
Kind of trunsluctant thin isolation around thebottom of terminal which missing or simply not sticking high enough from pouch
Look at the bottom Of terminal
Those cells would not recover to above 3V after full discharge like all other cells
