I thought about adding this to a couple of old threads, but they didn't seem exactly on this topic. For those hoping to get a charger they can adjust to a lower voltage with the goal of increasing lifetime cycles on their batteries, I've confirmed that the Vruzend 52 volt chargers are adjustable, slightly... I would assume their other chargers are as well, since they look the same from the outside.

The blue trim pot in the last picture below is factory set to 58.8 volts, but mine could adjust from 60.0 down to 57.7 volts. That would bring individual cell voltage from 4.20 volts down to 4.12 volts, which is better than nothing!

From http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries:
"Most Li-ions charge to 4.20V/cell, and every reduction in peak charge voltage of 0.10V/cell is said to double the cycle life. For example, a lithium-ion cell charged to 4.20V/cell typically delivers 300–500 cycles. If charged to only 4.10V/cell, the life can be prolonged to 600–1,000 cycles; 4.0V/cell should deliver 1,200–2,000 and 3.90V/cell should provide 2,400–4,000 cycles."

damn, that is some cheap ass charger...

what does that thing cost?

there is probably a resistor pair on the back that you can change to make the voltage range bigger.

Thanks for the info! Thats great now knowing that these generic crap chargers have some type of voltage limiter. One question for you, does the current drop as you get closer to fully charged? I've got my current charger and it doesn't do any such thing. It will just go full 2ish amps till it reaches fully charged then will shut off. Basically not a smart charger but it'll cut off at the correct voltage because my bms stops it.

There's some cheap ones on eBay right know and especially ones that have the exact same case so I assume theyre the same internals also.

there's an adjustable voltage and current 3v-60V charger here, it's $30, it's by HGJI.
