Hey, I was just about to flash my kt-lcd3 to use with my 52v tsdz2 and once I opened the lcd3 I noticed a green wire just loose in the back...

Anyone know what's up with that? Where is it supposed to be soldered, I figure it's a line of wires so in my mind it's supposed to be where there is no wire, next in line that is. Help pls :)

Edit, attached pics

Post images inline please. I can't see your dropbox stuff. The links appear to be shortened at the ellipsis. Also posting them to the forum assures that the images will be there down the road for someone else with the same or similar issue.

My bad, never noticed there was options below this window :)

As for the issue,
I figure I need to remove that sealent plastic holding wires in place so I can get card out to see where the wire is supposed to be. I got a glance of the board and noticed all wires are soldered in line and there is numbers for each wire. My guess it's supposed to be in one of those lines.

It even says gr on board so now I feel safe.

Yeah. It seems pretty likely that it popped of that GR (9) solder point. I mean the sequence is R, YE, GR and the first and second wires are Red and Yellow while the disconnected wire is .... Green.

Well I'm mostly pissed ln the fact that a new device comes in that condition... Sigh

At least your soldering iron will already be heated up to solder the flashing connector/interface.

I have the same problem -- different green wire. How did you get the two wire bundles to push through? I've got the water-proofing peeled back, do I cut through around them -- or just push really hard?

Thanks.

Brute Force (with pliers) worked!

A little rubbing alcohol will make it a lot easier.
