My new controller is different than my old controller. My old one didn't have an ignition wire, had five pins going to the throttle, had a hookup for a front light. My new controller has an ignition wire, 3 pins to the throttle I assume it's made for using with a twist throttle, and no hook up for lights.
I'm fine losing the light, the speed readout, I had a high low and medium gear before I know I won't get those back. I just need it working and the battery indicator voltage thing on the LCD and the power button on the throttle. It's a trigger throttle.
Can someone help me figure out how to wire this thing up? I'd greatly appreciate it. Not anyting of an electrical or handyman type person. I will try to include as many pictures as I can.
The ignition wire I don't know what to do with that. I initially cut it off and electrical taped the remainder to the main battery wire but now I'm reading it won't turn on unless that ignition wire goes to the positive. But I don't want to always have the battery on constantly draining. I want to be able to turn off and on just like before with the on off button on the throttle. It seems like logically that ignition wire would go to the positive on the throttle?
Help! I can't even solder I just splice the cables and use electrical tape.
