Quality e-bike throttle?

I've searched but haven't found one... Does anyone make a quality twist grip throttle with less 'dead space' before actuating motor? My cyclone powered gravity is nearly perfect for riding the dunes, sand fields, and single tracks connecting them here in coastal Oregon. With a big 52v battery, 3-speed rear hub, and that big mid-drive 3k cyclone motor I have enough power to climb just about anything (within reason.) The one weak point is the crappy chinese throttle. I've tried just about everything out of China at this point: twist and thumb, left and right and they all have the same problem, a lot of dead space between full release and where the mechanical reostat (sp?) starts to signal the controller. If I had to guess it's between 10-15% (of 360%) or 1/4" - 5/16". That makes it tricky trying to ride a narrow, twisty single track between the trees at 1-2 mph. You never know how far you'll have to turn for the motor to start spinning. I tried wiring a resister into the output wire as someone suggested here but that didn't fix the problem.
So does anybody sell a quality electric throttle that is mechanically adjustable to eliminate the free play?

Google Domino electric throttle, it’s really nice but not adjustable. With a good controller you can set the start voltage and ramping.

Or follow my guide if you insist on using the cheap stuff :D

there's a few other threads with similar questions that have answers, in this list

and even more under other searches.

I use a traditional throttle with a cable that then connects to a small box that converts the cable to Hall output. You can then set the postions, max/min with the cable. I think surron uses this system or something similar. I recall learning about it in a surron review vid. Anyway this allows you to use and dirtbike or standard throttle setup. I've been using it well over a year with no problem. Spring inside is very similar in feel to a real carburetor. They are made in China, but I have had no issues with them.

The resistor needs to be in series with the ground wire.

May I add emphasis on the sensor ground caution... be careful. I launched my ebike out of the garage and halfway down the driveway once while working on my throttle like this. Thankfully it just bounced off of a tree and didn't hit anyone or anything.
