What makes the FOC controllers so small and powerful?

Is it the FOC technology that allows them to be so powerful for their size or is it the quality of the FETs?

Also, is the ASI controller really FOC? I know they say so but heard that Nucular once said something about ASI not being true FOC.
and if they are FOC, how come they can't be used sensoreless?

AND if FOC's algorithm is so accurate, then why everyone I see with a Nucular controller still connect their hall sensors?

Yes the ASIs qualify, as do the Grintechs based on them.

More precise control, higher voltages means fewer FETs smaller size.
