I would like to build couple balance bikes for kids and use makita batteries i have at hand but those are 18V and awailable controllers are 12V or 24V. 24V has a 20V low voltage protection and it would cut of too quick. Is there any way to get rid of that and would it run ok off lower voltage battery?
Maybe there are more suitable controllers?
Its a bargaintastic build, i will use wiper motors for this.
Thanks

There should be a way to alter the low voltage cutoff but it will take a little reverse engineering. A 12v controller will most likely work without modification but the low voltage cutoff will be too low to be useful.

I am using makita batteries so they will cut off them selves. Somehow i doubt them 12v controllers will go as high as 21V(fully charged, 18V nominal).
Might have one, need to try and see
