So I just bought a brass gear to replace the broken nylon one on my TSDZ2, and decided to also buy some Mobil SHC100 grease as I kept hearing thats the best grease to use in the motor, but I'm unsure of how much to actually apply, and where?

I saw this picture on Brighton ebikes website that shows a Bafang motor with Mobilgrease 28, is that how I should be applying the Mobil SHC100 to my TSDZ2, so that all the cavity is filled with it?

Way too much. A lot of the motors energy would go towards churning the grease like butter.

I've seen guys pack it full of grease like that to help it run quieter.

You only need half that. When the grease gets hot, it expands, and it can hydraulically blow out a shaft seal.

If it goes into the controller chamber I dont think it will hurt anything, but...I would still just use half of that.

Thanks guys, I'll be sure to use around half of what's in the picture then

Cheers
