Hi,
I searched for 2 hours and nothing.... so i hope someone have the answer ....
I would like to use a yamaha charger on a generic battery.
If i connect the yamaha charger on the battery it doesn't work.
Of course i connect correctly the + and the - but i don't know what i have to do with the others wires.
I suppose the charger is waiting for something in these 2 wires to start.

In the Bosh battery and charger the third wire get 5V but on the yamaha ? what is the function of these 2 more wires ?
Thanks.

There are some posts and threads discussing the Yamaha charger and/or battery system, such as these:

I don't know if the info is useful, but it might lead you somewhere that is.

I saw this post but it's not exactly my problem.
I anderstand that except + and - wires, the 2 others are ... one with 12V and one for data.
I want to use the yamaha charger on a generic battery, so i have to manage the 12V output of the charger.
Before experimenting i prefer be more or less sure.

Do you think it will work if i connect a 10kohm resistor (or biger one) beween the 12V wire and - of the charger to simulate a charge and so to open the output of the charger ?
