I am trying to replace 6 wire throttle with 5 wire throttle.

So far I found that throttle has below wires
* Yellow thick wire
* White thick wire
* Red thin wire
* Green thin wire
* Black thin wire

My controller has below wires
* Thick red wire
* Thin red wire
* Black wire
* Orange wire
* Blue wire
* White wire
* Another white wire

I tried connectivity of
Code:
Controller   <--------------->  Throttle
____________________________________
Thick red    <--------------->  Yellow
Black        <--------------->  White

I checked connectivity on the multimeter when the switch was on I was able to get a battery voltage reading.
Now, I'm not sure how to connect the rest of the wires. Can you please help me?

Depends on what each wire does on each different throttle unit, and what functions each unit has.

There is likely useful information in the threads on the same basic problem found here:

@amberwolf,

I already tried all the articles and watching the videos. I found that the yellow and white wires on the controller are switch wires. And rest three are throttle wires.

But how can I find which wire is what on the controller? There must be some convention or some way to figure it out and I want to know the way.

I'm a noob in electronics so asking a very basic question.

Finally found this myself
Code:
| Controller Wire | Throttle Wire |
| ------------------ | ----------------- |
| Thick Red        | White             |
| Orange            | Yellow            |
| Thin Red          | Red                |
| Blue                | Green            |
| Black              | Black              |
| 2 White          | None               |

I found by trying multiple things. Thick red controller wire was power wire. So checked earlier throttle where switch button was taken. And found above connections. Turned out 2 white wires doesn't need to be connected anywhere.
