If it isn't that easy, does anyone know if it could be possible to replicate the functionality myself? From searching the forum I found that there was at least one company modifying controllers to add this functionality before Bafang started manufacturing them themselves. Does anyone know how they did it? I'm thinking maybe a relay on the wires from controller to motor?
I have tried using the GS through the brake cut-offs, but I've found it waaay too slow for climbing hills, you lose so much momentum. I'm using the throttle at the moment and, while it works, it's much clunkier than a proper GS would be.
