Hey
My motor started slipping at cranks .that was the feeling . I opened the motor and saw something that looks like broken outer ring of main clutch . I thought this was abnormal and sign of failure but a friend said that his motor looks same inside ... what do you think guys ?

Does slipping mean that when you pedal, the chainring doesn't turn?

Yes . That was the feeling. Didn't try too much cos I was afraid to not to cause more damage to the motor ...

I've gotten the weird slipping sensation a few times per ride. Still not sure what is causing it either, barely 150 miles so shouldn't be toast yet. First thought it was the chain coming off, it can jump into the gap between the ring and the guard and it feels similar. Installed narrow wide ring and it did it again a couple times the last ride.

The notch might be normal though. I had mine apart to install the narrow wide ring and noticed the seal there had a little tab that fit in a notch to keep it in place, very fussy to get back in properly.

Well... turned out to be small bearing in the blue gear. Water got inside and it rusted and stuck. Blue gear is fine but I have to replace this small bearing.

Bearing itself is simple to find but I'm not sure how to remove it from this grooved cylinder...

Are you sure tha is the problem ?
The one inside the grooved cylinder is the roller clutch for the motor,.. it only turns one way, and it does not cause the pedals to slip !
It is a simple press fit .
I was wrong. You're right

Will this work no matter which side I press from ? Is this straight tube ? Or is it coned?
I personally have no experience with removing this bearing, but knew that Wapous had used this method with a 18mm socket wrench. His post has some more pictures
