hey
i'm looking for inspiration for welding g510 or m600 mount to marin rift zone regular bike frame . is there a forum with projects like this ? seems to me to be not very popular way of making an ebike ... but chinese frames are quite expensive and factory ebikes seem to be expensive in the long run mostly because of battery prices ...
i have built 2021 rift zone with tsdz2 but this motor seems to be too fragile for my riding

so i'm thinking if it would be possible to cut the cranks and weld g510 mount ...

If the frame is steel, and the mount is steel, it shouldn't be a problem to do this.

If the frame is aluminum and the mount is aluminum, they can be welded together but you'll want to re-heat-treat the whole thing afterwards to regain the strength in that area (a highly stressed area of the frame), or it could break under normal usage afterward.

If they are different metals, you probably can't weld them directly together; you'd have to talk to a place that does that sort of thing to see what they could do.

this is an example of what i mean

Your frame is aluminum and, as stated above, this metal needs to be heat treated after it is welded in order to regain strength lost when it's welded. Otherwise you risk catastrophic failure. Unfortunately, FME, getting a frame heat treated is neither easy nor inexpensive.

it's not critical - i see many welded / repaired bikes / frames - and if not stressed terminally , they do not fail ...
so let's focus on the subject pls

If you want to use the M600, there's a bracket for sale here right now:
