I'd like people's thoughts on which mid drive kit would be most straightforward to install on an old BikeE (made in Oregon). It's a 7x3. Thanks in advance.

they are noisy and the double freewheel does not last long, also 24Volt is not standard for batteries anymore. Consider a rear hub motor with a 9 or 10 speed derailleur, or even with your existing 8speed (but without the 3xhub of course).

If it helps, there are other BikeE middrive conversions here on ES. If you look thru this list
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/search.php?keywords=bikee&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=titleonly&sr=topics&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search
you can see some of which ones are relevant by title, and others are obvious once you start looking thru the actual thread.

Consider the Tongsheng TSDZ2 torque sensing mid drive. Super easy installation on 68-72mm bottom brackets. The operation is very transparent and natural. You just feel stronger than you were before.
